I can only see us buying some young unheard of player from an unheard of club to loan to another club only to be heard of again when they are sold or released.

Liam Delap is being recalled from Stoke. Apparently there’s loads of interest in him and it’s not worked out well with Stoke.

Hopefully we learn from just sending a player to where his dad is coaching, only for his dad to get binned pretty much as soon as he gets there.

My mates a North End season ticket holder, he’s asked me a few times this season if I want to go when his kid can’t.

Good move for Delap. They’re pushing to try and get in the playoffs. He said their home form is what’s hindering them at the moment.

Hopefully he does well there.

He's not done well at Stoke mate and he's had the minutes.

Yeah I agree. Not sure what the service has been like to him, or where his head has been at with his dad going pretty soon after he joined. I imagine it probably played on his mind a lot. I don’t know.

I guess we’ll see. Harwood-Bellis struggled at Anderlect and didn’t set the world on fire at Blackburn. He’s doing very well for Burnley though, so there is hope.

Ultimately I doubt very much Liam will make it with us, hopefully he can increase his value.

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Netherlands striker Wout Weghorst on loan for the rest of the season.

The 30-year-old Burnley forward spent the first half of the season at Besiktas but is now heading to Manchester for a medical before the move can be completed.

A deal has been reached for his loan at the Turkish club to be terminated.

Weghorst scored eight goals and registered four assists in 16 league games for Besiktas.

The perfect fit? Why Ten Hag wanted Weghorst
Man Utd news and fan views in one place
His latest goal came in a 2-1 win against Kasimpasa on 7 January and, following that match, he appeared to wave goodbye to Besiktas' fans.

The move allows United manager Erik ten Hag to bring in his fellow Dutchman to fill the vacancy he has for a striker in his squad.

Weghorst also scored two late goals for the Netherlands in their World Cup quarter-final with Argentina last month.

He also scored in the penalty shoot-out, which Argentina went on to win.

The 30-year-old scored two goals in 20 appearances for Burnley following his £12m arrival from Wolfsburg 12 months ago, a contribution that was not enough to prevent the Clarets being relegated to the Championship.

Providing there are no issues, Weghorst could be registered in time to be involved in Saturday's derby game against Manchester City at Old Trafford.

Trossard looks to be a bad egg. Had half a good season and thinks he can call the shots at Brighton.

Genius move, according to Tony Cascarino.
He obviously was not talking to any Burley fans.
