Harwood Bellis

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Harwood Bellis

Thought he deserved his own thread as he seems to be the only positive from our loanees at the moment.

All reports are that he’s smashing it at Burnley. Very heroic displays. He’s also captaining the England U21s.

Still only 20!

If Burnley do get promoted, I think another season loan there and hopefully if he does well he can come in to our first team and gradually work his way in. Stones with his injuries will be on his way out. Laporte may well want to go back to Spain at some point.

We could have a ready made replacement in the Vincent Kompany mould.

We'd need to discuss a new contract for that to happen. As things stand, he's got one full season left after this one.

He seems to be a blue and has been in the away end with Tommy Doyle a few times. Hopefully that means he’ll be happy to sign. Ridiculous we leave these things so late though.

Lad at work is a Burnley fan and he's told me he's one of the best CBs he's ever seen.

Even said he's definitely going to an England International and potential captain.

Not sure if he's getting a bit giddy because of how Vincent has them playing but it's a glowing reference as to his progress on loan!

Then we give him a new one and one which he can’t not sign. Sometimes it is that easy
