Probably been ages since Haaland has enjoyed playing. Doubt he’ll stick around for much longer.

We have won a game 4-0 this season. Cant even remember who it was against.
And I was bored. Perhaps it had more to do with the opposition.
But we play the same style against all opponents and i think a lot of teams have worked us out.
I know Pep has said the players aren't hungry enough any more. Perhaps us fans have been so accustomed to winning we have lost a bit of spark as well? It has become de rigour to win and win well by scoring lots of goals. We've been spoilt rotten the last decade.
Maybe once we get to the latter stages of the cups we are still in fir the games will start to get more exciting? Shouldn't be this way though

Yes and no, mate.
I think slowly our love for football faded, not because we were spoiled, but because of corrupted this game has become.
Has almost nothing in common with the game we knew as kids.

I said it first half at Chelsea. First time I've ever been bored watching us play.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

I didn't even watch most of the second half today as our football has become boring and predictable......cannot ever remember me not watching City play but if pep thinks that possession football will keep the fans happy then hes in for some more booing if we carry this on for the rest of the season. Also ,how is it fuckign possible that we cannot get crosses in to Haaland ? there has to be a tactical reason as we have the players to cross balls into the fuckign penalty area ???!!!....it makes no sense at all.
*****if the Scum finish above us this season then PeP can fuck off******
That's my pennies worth for tonight!!
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

Mahrez was successful last time we played Spuds by going down the right.
Didn't do it once.
Get on the damn outside City!!!!!

My son keeps saying we're boring and I get it to a point, but the officials aren't heping.
Madley reffed the game against Everton and allowed both them and spuds to fall to the ground stopping play every time.
The PGMOL said they'd only stop the game for head injuries. Madley and co stop the game at every opportunity.
Not saying this is the only reason but it does slow the game down constantly.

There is a lot if straw clutching in that post. We waste enough time ourselves with the slow build up. You can tell what the player in receipt of the ball is going to do as soon as he gets it- the ball is going side-ways or back from where it cam from. Utter mind numbing shite. I've thrown my bristol tkt back. Arsenal and Forest will be given away if this continues and I cannot remember the last time that I did not want to go to an away game - which is breaking my heart

Agree we are now very slow, when we used to be dynamic. Wide open to tactics like Spuds, at which they are the best.
Also we have people who are past their time.
KDB - not what he was
Bernardo Silver - not what he was, runs around a lot, no effect at all
Walker - not quite what he was
Plus the fact that Pep seems unable to see the solidity that a Walker Stones/Laporte Dias Ake back line gives the whole team.
But - beat Villa 4-0 and the world will be right again

Agree with all that. The defence is the biggest thing for me - we build from the back and if the defence is changing every week it’s no wonder Rodri and Ederson are making mistakes. The defensive 4/5 you’ve mentioned is spot on. It’s our best defence, with Lewis coming in to give Walker a rest when needed.

For the first time in years we are are failing to make enough clear cut scoring chances to win matches. I’d like to see 4-3-3 with fullbacks overlapping and perhaps two of the midfield three more defensive minded. Rodri, Phillips/Perrone (?) and KdB/Gundogan, with Foden/Mahrez on the left, Grealish on the right and Haaland/Alvarez central. Sadly we haven’t got a left back that will fit this pattern outside Gomez who shall we say isn’t the finished article yet and the EDS. Walker or Lewis can do it I think but the left side of defence (apart from Ake) is a fucking shambles.
Txiki, I’m looking at you here. Your first big failure. Don’t make another.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Maybe Gomez could work. At this stage we haven’t got much to lose by trying it v Villa.
It would allow Ake to play centre half at least.
