The stats are still there, even some mind blowing passes that you rarey see from anyone, but is his overall performance slowly declining?

His footwork was utter garbage and the first half vs Newcastle and it wasn’t the first time this season.

He's knackered. It's been non stop football since covid.

Moments of brilliance separated by long periods of absolute cack. The brilliance is, in the main, well worth it.

For others that are not Beefy and read more than the title

He will be 32 in june, are we seeing early signs of his decline that come natural with the age, is he knackered or something else?
Should we be worried?

Is he in decline? Subjectively yes he is as I think he was at he peak a couple of years ago and players rarely hit their peak after 31

Is his form now still enough to warrant a place in our XI? Absolutely. Yes his radar is somewhat off just of late but he also is the only one trying different things and attempting passes that may or may not come off but if they do create good chances. Against Bristol his overall game was sub par but he provided the assist and a goal and changed the game

His average is still better than a majority of players best

He needs players next to him with energy and legs. His injuries have taken their toll.

We ideally need Bellingham instead of Gundo to do the running

Yes to Jude. Camelgob doing his come to us, no shame he said NO previously, A week of Gobby bidding for Kane now this. Only the scum and Klopp making such fucked up statements.

Spot on. Usually one fantastic bit per game to keep him in the pundits' world class category. With lots of "not like him" every time he inexplicably misses a simple pass

Think he needs some rest and like others say, some legs at the side of him. The skill he has he could go on for another couple years. Pep will manage him well.

And this is why we don’t have threads anymore on the forum.
If you want to start a debate, with arguments, you get answers like this one.

His form has dipped as many’s have this season, he’s not a robot. Madness to write him off as in decline he’s a fantastic player and will show it again in abundance no doubt.

Plenty of threads PP, occasional pointless one like this one. You've got a real beef with Kev. You'll deny it again but every time he makes a bad pass you comment. You one million percent have a problem with him.He was bad today, he was involved in 3 goals last game. Ask Haaland if you think he'd rather Kev or anyone else behind him

If I have something against Kevin, you surely have a hard on for Laporte. Who is a huge liability, same as Stones.
I’ve said it many times that he is the only footballer I’ve seen who comes close to Socrates, the brazilian, but you seem to miss that.

And this is not a fuck off sell him to Chelsea thread.
And of course, it’s that amazing think called “ignore the thread”.

And yeah, we lost a lot of users that left the forum exactly because of posts like that one.

Sorry mate, but out those blinkers off.
Tintin's still world class and the biggest match winner in our squad. But he IS struggling with a lot of the basics this season. He was always a risk reward player, but this season his percentage is off, and loses the ball too often in dangerous positions. He's probably knackered, but we also can't close our eyes to the fact that he is getting long in the tooth.

Nothing ridiculous about this thread at all - it’s worthy of discussion .

Kev has had a huge dip this season - gives the ball away and his shots at goal have been , overall , in row z.

As Someone mentioned , kev always has one killer shot or pass in him per game and that’s why he’s still a hugely valuable player for us but he’s not the player he was and that’s why he’s been subbed off and also not started some games .
