Celtic are set to battle with Wolves for Manchester City's England Under-21 midfielder Tommy Doyle, 21.

Celtic would be a good move for a few years.

Wolves would be the better option whilst they are still in the PL. Smashing mostly shit opposition up in Scotland is not going to improve his game, yes he would be playing to full houses at home games and get 6 chumps league games but not a patch on the PL - even in what may be a relegation battle

Plus Celtic haven't got as much money
Wolves would pay more

Wolves have just got rid of three of their best players. They’ll be going down this season. Not great to have that one your footballing CV

surprised that no has come in for harwood-bellis and doyle. both had very good seasons in the championship so would have expected a club, from at least that level, to have picked them up.... maybe it's a loan v perm deal issue?

Pretty sure there's been plenty of interest. But it has to be to a club that both City and the players are happy with.

"Manchester City’s James McAtee has emerged as a target for Ajax, who are lining up a replacement for Mohammed Kudus amid interest from two Premier League clubs.(West Ham replacement for Paqueta)The 20-year-old could still leave the Etihad Stadium this summer, with a host of clubs from across England and Europe interested in signing the Englishman either permanently or on a season-long loan. McAtee helped Sheffield United return to the top-flight with an impressive campaign at Bramall Lane last season, making 43 appearances and being directly involved in 13 goals. The Blades remain interested in bringing the midfielder back to Yorkshire this season, alongside Wolves, Brighton, Real Sociedad, Southampton, Celtic, Sheffield United and AZ Alkmaar."

in other CityXtra news:

ManCity have shown no intention of negotiating with Bayern Munich for Stefan Ortega.

Nottingham Forest are interested in #ManCity's Taylor Harwood-Bellis. ManCity want £15M; a valuation that has put off Burnley and kept West Ham, Fulham and Leeds at a distance

Burnley fan at work thinks he's the best thing since sliced bread. If he did so well there last year why aren't they snapping him up?
