It’s fair to say the gooners are not too confident, and I feel for them a tiny little bit. It cant be fun getting this far and then having a wobble. I am worried because I don’t feel nervous, and that cannot be right. The atmosphere is going to fantastic, no matter what happens.

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: Michael Oliver
Assistants: Stuart Burt, Ian Hussin
Fourth official: Craig Pawson
VAR: David Coote
Assistant VAR: Eddie Smart

Team Selection

Martinelli Jesus Saka
Ødegaard
Partey Jorginho
Xhaka Gabriel Holding White
Ramsdale

And the rest…

For once in my life I need Arsenal to take a leaf out of Tottenham's book. Bare with me. I need us to sacrifice our footballing morals, sneak a 1-0 lead and uphold the dirtiest low-block I have ever seen that even Diego Simeone would be disgusted. I'm talking a proper 1-0 with an XG of 0.2-4.3 type of performance.

We will acquit ourselves well - anyone who says we'll get smashed is projecting based on our recent run of results.

I’m usually optimistic but can only see us losing this. Hope I’m wrong. We can’t beat West Ham and Southampton, Man City batter Bayern Munich. Not looking good.

Trossard at false 9 for this please. I have a feeling Jesus will be a bit too emotional. If Ake is out then I expect Saka to feast on Laporte.

90th minute Jesus winner with him going full Adebayor would be lovely.

Pressing city high works when you have Saliba but without him you cant leave Haaland isolated with Holding. We did well against them in fa cup until we made changes in 2nd half but things different now.

This will be such an anticlimax. We had to go there with 11 point advantage so they feel pressure. Now we have to win. I think it will be 4-1 with city missing a lot of chances. This team is done.

Just want to see us play without fear. Respect them but respect what we can do more. We can win.

It feels the refs are against Arsenal at all times. Refs are in Citys pocket not ours.

What I'd be concerned of there is 4 draws in a row is a bad habit to get into. But like you say a draw would be pretty alright, I honestly don't believe City are winning every other game, even if they just draw once.

What i fear is a humiliating defeat. Im not talking about 4-0 or even 5-0, im talking about 6-0 or 7-0.

We will be able to compete with them yes, you just need to watch the last game we played there. The problem will be concentration for 95 minutes (close to zero mistakes and taking our chances), combined with being able to adjust to Pep's in game changes and stay competitive. Our boys and management team are really good. But they have to be better going to the Etihad, because every hole we have shown up to now, will be exploited.

With Holding starting 5-1 City Haaland hat trick. We haven’t had an old school Arsenal CB comedy show and disgraceful romp for a season i suppose we are due.

Biggest match for the club since the Champions League Final. The illusion is over for me, we most likely won't make it. It was nice to dream, though, and it isn't over. We need the performance of a lifetime. I hope everyone who steps in is willing to die on that pitch. It's the only way we can have a chance.

F*CK Citeh and their evil & godless owners.

Rob Holding at a country music concert 2 days before our biggest game of the season. What’s up with these players they should be fully focussed smh. Not confident one bit.

I’m conflicted between 4-1 or 5-1 to city. The ones of you thinking we have a hope here are deluded.

Is going to a country music festival going to impact his ability to play a high line against Haaland? Maybe he is going to procure a lasso to enable him to not play so tight against Haaland but still control him.

We’ll get battered.

Honestly, why do they need an assistant VAR?!

Had to laugh at the Adebayor comment :0)

The comments on the whole are a bit more realisitic than the typical arrogant cunt who follows Arsenal so fair play. They have had a great season but they needed to be in a place where the game vs us didn't matter.

They aren't quite good enough to go toe to toe with us without getting ripped to shreds, so have to change the entire way they have played their season for one game - it's a massive ask for them, and hard to see them not leaking goals.

Cheers as ever CM

This bit worries me....

If Ake is out then I expect Saka to feast on Laporte.

Whilst that may be a concern I'd be more worried that Saliba looks likely to miss this and that our front three will feast on this - especially if the swiss geezer remains absent
