Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, but we're playing Atletico Madrid on 30 July in South Korea.

We also have another 2 as-yet-unannounced fixtures in Asia.

Not guaranteed:
Community Shield is pencilled in for weekend of 5 August.

Also, if we win the CL, we've got more fixtures that will pile up down the line:
European Super Cup on 15 August in Greece
2023 Club World Cup in mid-December in Saudia Arabia
2025 Club World Cup in Summer 2025 in TBC location (due to the new format, it looks like we'll almost certainly be participating in that even if we don't win the CL in the coming seasons, as there are 8 UEFA slots that are allocated according to club coefficient/ranking, which we're currently top of)

Jesus, that's a hell of a lot of extra games!!

The additional games as a result winning chumps leage are nothing but cash cow exhibition games, IF we win CL send the kids to play with a few fringe players....

Charity shield, IF we win the cup and league, i guess it would be gooners as i assume second in league trumps 2nd in cup?

For the Club World Cup, there's some kind of FIFA-ordained rule about which players have to play, I think, which is why Liverpool fobbed off the League Cup a few seasons ago and got drubbed by Villa. Either that or the prize money involved for winning it is astronomical. There's also €5 million for winning the European Super Cup, which would (reportedly) cover a year of Alvarez's salary (but you also get €3.8 million for losing).

Yes, it should be league runners-up by convention, but there's no fixed rule about this, as it's an invitational. Theoretically, it could be anyone or even an all-star team.

If we do have to play those world club cups super cups and other such silly games that nobody cares about. We should just play weakened teams.

Why? We have never won those competitions and are more chances to put pots on the sideboard. I also like that world club badge! This team deserves to win absolutely everything so would be fitting.

I agree. And if we win the Charity Shield and League Cup next season we would hold all SEVEN available trophies.

That would be unprecedented and never would be repeated. Long shot of course. But I'd be gobsmacked if people at the club aren't thinking about this possibility

Here’s one match at Wembley. The Community Shield vs the Arse on Sunday August 6 at 17.30. Fuck the City fans. Get yourselves back on the train late on a Sunday.
