CL Semi Tickets

Seeing all over Facebook that the club has screwed up royally with this, but not entirely sure what's happened.
Am I right that they allowed anyone and everyone to sign up as members, then put all tickets up for sale to all members at the same time (basically open sale except for those reserved for people on the cup scheme), so someone who paid £35 yesterday and has never been to a game in their lives had the same right to a ticket as someone who's been an ST holder for 30-odd years and never missed a game (but didn't sign up to the cup scheme)? Or am I not understanding things correctly?

Correct. My brother had 16,000 people in the queue in front of him this morning when he logged on to get tickets. Sold out pretty much within 15 mins. He’s still got his points from having our season ticket for 20 years but couldn’t get the two of us tickets.
Seems like the club was happy to let day trippers get a ticket over genuine fans.

Apparently club did this last year and that’s why there were so many Madrid fans in the home end.

Unbelievable.
And I bet there'll be those who paid £35 for membership and didn't get a ticket complaining about 'wasting' money, too. It would've been better (and fairer, imho) all round if ST holders got 1 ticket each at face value, and the club had just put a £100 surcharge on them for anyone else.

Getting harder and harder to get tickets now. Makes me laugh when people say we cant fill our stadium. Cant bloody get tickets for the genuine fans more like!

As a season ticket holder you get the opportunity to sign up for any and all cup schemes - your choice if you choose not to. Controversial, but what should the club do next ? If you've chosen to turn down the offer then you're in the mix with everyone else and a day tripper will take your seat. You cannot have it both ways - not going / choosing the games you want in the cup competitions and then moaning when you don't get a ticket

They’ve allowed people with no history of attending a match and that just paid £35 for a citizens membership yesterday get tickets at the same time as someone with 10k+ points. That will mean that touts will have paid the £35 yesterday so that they can get tickets today and sell them on for hundreds. Madrid fans will have done the same and be sat in the home end.
Genuinely can’t see how you don’t think that’s a problem..

Cup schemes are spenny. Season ticket holders or people with X number of points should get first refusal for big games without having to shell out for City v Sheriffs Badge or whatever.
Tourists make the atmosphere worse and should be at the back of the queue.
"Oh boy, what a stadium. You must love this... But have you been to Anfield? That's amazing."

Plenty of half and half scarves being sold on the night I’d imagine.

I logged in just before 10am and had 37k Infront of me in the queue.
Queued for 1.5 hours to get an error message saying I'd been blocked because of something with my browser :/
Very annoying, even though I knew they must have been long sold out....

As the unauthorized resale of tickets is illegal, it would be a massive coup by the club to cancel these tickets, and hand the details of those involved on to the police. It'd still get to pocket the £35 from the membership, too, seeing as we seem to be so desperate for this extra cash.

I’ve just seen there’s one standard ticket on there (non-hospitality) for £600!!!!!

I've never seen so many half and half scarves as I saw on Wednesday. My point above is the club give ST holders the chance to get priority and guaranteed tickets so if you turn it down and I know times are tough, then they can only open it up to the tourists. Is it right is it fuck but the club are looking at the £

The CL scheme is one thing, my dads on it - good for him. But some people can’t afford a season ticket AND to be charged by direct debit for games in the CL that they may or may not be able to get it. So why not do it by points? It would have still sold out and made the club the same amount of money?

https://twitter.com/bluemoon_mcfc/statu ... 9Awxy5lqVQAn additional point is the price of season tickets next year. No sign of a freeze.
I know for a fact hospitality tickets were resold to at one agency at massive mark ups. Some season ticket holders involved? They got first crack. I think some allowance should be given to those who paid for the midweek CL matches which are not always popular.

Emirates are holding auctions for tickets, to be paid with airmiles. I've been outbid on the lot, though they may release more in future.
What's curious is there's nothing to stop a rag getting tickets in the city end and vice versa. They just have open auctions for each. A bit uneasy about that tbh.

Corporate is a waste of time Carl. Way too expensive for basic food. you still have to pay for your drinks. seems a good idea but they have got carried away with it all . Still some buy into it.
