Disagree NB, Pep always always says after season has finished which was 2 days ago and Pep was very clear in his post match interview (one of them) it is holiday time before anything else.

Khaldoon mentioned Wembley 2024 ucl final after the game and Pep "i cannot tell you my reply" (implying he said fuck off give us a break in joking way)

A guy called Ric on BlueMoan says he’s been told Gundo staying. Not sure how reliable

Barca’s financial shambles must be giving him pause. Pep sounded reasonably upbeat about the prospects of him staying. We wait.

Agree, he’s worth the wait. However we can only wait so long before we miss our targets and if he did make us wait and we still lost him, it would definitely leave a bit of a sour taste.

Agree with this, he has so much credit in the bank it would be sad to see it to a bit stale over this messing about.

I don't like that we are on hold.
Love him, but if you want to go there then man up and accept they might not be able to sign you, but don't stall our transfer plans.

Reports today he's gone to Barcelona. Can't understand why he would leave the best team in the world. Didn't think he would go.

I don’t imagine for one second our transfer plans for the summer will be dependent on what Gundog does. It will be considered a bonus if he stays but we will have a succession plan in place if he doesn’t

So much for the phalanx of ITKs - 33 is a good time to say goodbye and thanks, Kova is a great replacement ;)

I was in a bit of denial about Ilkay. Did something go wrong between him and Txiki? Pep clearly really wanted him to stay. Still even if Barca is a bit of a basket case I can see why they’re attractive to some players. What I can’t understand is why Bernardo would give PSG the time of day.

Because PSG actually pay their own players and don’t force them to take pay cuts half way through a season?

He’s got a 500 million reserve price which is ridiculous. Two years with an option for a third. We offered one plus one.

Which is reasonable to be fair. I was one of the posters that said “offer him anything he wants!” but when we look at it without our blue tints, the club always does what’s best. He had it all here and an extra 2 years at 33 is a good deal. I very much doubt he’ll be with Barca in 2 years.

His Mrs has got her wish though, bless her.

I suppose Ilkay considers that he’s been taken on by Laporta and Xavi and won’t be treated in that way. Anyway I’m personally sad he’s gone,

When I said it was ridiculous I meant the 500 million reserve price, No ones surely going to want pay anything like that for him at his age.
