Just give him whatever he wants. 2 years fine. 3 years fine. Just keep him here. Someone like McAtee would learn fuck loads from him.

Thirded - two year deal is a no brainer if that’s what he wants

A three-year deal with a move into coaching in the second or third year.

100pc.

Immense player and ffs he could well be the captain of a treble winning team.

You don't let lads like that leave at the peak of their powers. Maybe he wants to go somewhere else but I'd be amazed if he did.

Another couple of seasons doing what he's been doing and he could be immortalised, if he isn't already

And why would we, unless for an English signing?

Reminds me of when Yaya used to do it - that away game against Newcastle in 2011/2012.

Gundo does in games what the likes of Foden and Jackie should do more often. Grab the game by the scruff of the neck when it’s getting a bit scrappy and we aren’t at our fluid best and simply deliver a match winning performance. This happens to him quite a bit and it isn’t luck. His penchant for important goals is incredible.

I simply can’t believe we’d let him go for the sake of a two year contract rather than a one year one. It’s just a no brainier for us to want to keep him. Whether he fancies a fresh challenge or a change of scenery is another matter. Be surprised to be honest if that was the case. He’s been here seven years now and like most of our best players, he’s played the best years of his life in the most successful team in the land, winning trophies galore and being part of the greatest side the PL has ever seen. You’d think he’d want more of it

Spot on. The length of contract on offer should have nowt to do with age, but be all about performance. On his recent showings (as usual at the business end of the year) he deserves at least anogher two years, maybe more.

Is it the amount of years or is he trying to convince his Mrs, “Manchester has no nice restaurants”, to stay for a bit longer? He’d have signed a pre-contract with another team by now if he wanted to go, surely?

He signed his last contract with us at the last moment of memory serves. Just a few days left on it. He might well stay.

He would be daft to leave for any other club, if we do get to the CL final, we will win it. Then there will be no stopping this club.
