uefa conference final

another absolutely ridiculous uefa decision to stage this in a stupidly small stadium. heard on the radio that 30k have travelled over to prague with only 5k official ticket holders. don’t mind the hammers so will be cheering them on tonight.
come on you irons!

Yes, i know a bunch of Hammer fans who went yesterday. Their allocation is only 4k so even more ridiculous.

Bloke at work is ST hammer he said no chance of getting a ticket.

They could have sold 40k tickets given the chance.

I read yesterday that moving forward, the future final venues will need to be at least 30K. No help to the happy hammers but I'm sure they'll all enjoy themselves I cannot abide Moyes but would be happy for a west ham win.

Really want west ham to win this but I think they will need to be right on their game. Fiorentina can be a decent side on their day.

19,500 capacity, and the biggest football stadium in Czech Republic. I can't think of any other countries in Europe (micronations aside) without a football stadium with a 20K+ capacity. Maybe one or two of the Baltic states, but that'd probably be it.

kind of weird how prague is also home to the world’s largest stadium…

Cup finals should be about the finalists. After the quarter finals each club should be offered a choice of 3 available stadia based on the two potential opponents for the final. Whichever is prioritised between both clubs gets the final. Its bollocks that a final cannot be organised in that time, every other tie has to be managed home and away. The current system panders far too much to administrators and sponsors. Fans wont choose a shithole or a far flung destination. Better for fans, better for the environment and less open to corruption. All the reasons why it'll never change.

Poor defending for equaliser, turned his back to him, should've stood up and blocked face on. Livening up now but all the dives and fouling coming out. Got to say expect Milan to be exactly the same

West ham have made themselves look silly with the antics of going down so easy. Antonio could get tackled by a flee. Still want them to win

Delighted for West Ham winning here, especially Bowen scoring the winner, he seems a genuine 100% effort player who knows he doesn't have it all but makes the most of what he has got. Robbie Savage though is an absolute embarrassment as a pundit/co-commentator, offers nothing to watching the game and Don Hutchison isn't much better but without all the histrionics is a lot more sufferable.
