Gvardiol

Looks like we have a personal agreement with him.

There is a hype around him, young and solid.
He had a mare in the second leg vs us, but seems that he is coming here.

Could be a diamond this lad. Very highly regarded.

Laporte out Gvardiol in. Nice

Me neither.

He is still young for a CB and I think back to Nastastic or Savic. Ultimately half decent but we bought too early. The PL is a very unforgiving place for a young CB. Look at Adarabiyo at Fulham, only now at 25 is he starting to acclimatise and get into his groove and rhythm.

And if we buy this guy, does it mean Harwood-Bellis is surplus to requirements? Is he really £90M worth better than HB?

Saw that HB was away with england U21 and got rave reviews along with Trafford after the first game doubt we see him again if we are getting this kid

That’s mad, the highlights I saw HB was awful. All their chances that Trafford saves came from HB being too slow mentally. He won’t make it here.

BBC have a full story on if this guy is worth 100m euros. Nothing on whether Rice is worth £105m

I think he will be a downgrade initially on laporte but has a higher ceiling over time.

I think he’s a terrific player. Whether he’s worth what Leipzig want time will tell. Surely we’ll bring this over the line though.

This looking less likely now that they’re selling a lad to Liverpool? We probably should have got in there early and agreed a fee and got it done. They need the money cause of FFP, but they’ve sold the striker to Chelsea and if this midfielder goes to Liverpool they won’t be under pressure to sell. Annoying.

Surely Laporte is going. He didn’t want to leave but he’s been left with no alternative. I think this deal will be done.

Best for us is Laporte or Cancelo plus money to Barca for de Jong.

This means our back 8 will be

Walker/lewis Stones/Akanje Dias/Laporte Ake/Gvardol

Wonder will we defo shift out laporte? Id still like to keep him, ship out cancelo and sergi gomez and have Gvardiol in instead of the left back we have waited for years for(granted I know hes not an actual left back).

If we keep laporte it means we have as many defenders at the club as we did for the first half of last season with Gvardiol a swap for Cancelo. That would suit me down to the ground.

We’ll really struggle with Cancelo. He’s got 4 years left on his contract he signed last year.

Porro to Spurs for £34 million. We pocket £10 million. Nice little earner.

A lad not afraid of tackle and looks like Ake, Akanji and Ruben his timing is spot on, not giving the ref any reason question said tackles. Also not afraid to get up in the box.

Discipline record isn't so far not bad. Pro career to date played 155, 14 yellows& 1 red.

I am hoping Txiki doesn't pay any more than the €75m he's valued on transfermarkt.
