Mendy cleared of rape and attempted rape.

Cleared of his remaining charges. Not surprised, I was told by someone close to the case at the very start he’d not done it.

I cant see him playing again in the PL but he could play again in France or elsewhere I would have thought. I’m sure he’ll want to get out of this country asap.

Very much this, on reflection when txiki and serano rocked up with Pelligrini appointed the word holistic was thrown around and many of us took the micky over it.

When mendy rocked up and had the whole team shark bants going on it was fun to start but.....

Then as time went on under Pep you notice a lack of egos in the squad and very much togetherness for the team..... dare I say holistic ethos. Which ultimately led to the treble.

I am pleased for Mendy and that justice has prevailed, unfortunately IMO he set himself up for a fall with his antics and I hope clubs and the academies the world over use his predicament as a massive lesson on being honey trapped.

I guess Saudi beckons for him .

It was always a stich up, that was clear. And I feel for the lad. His career and life are ruined. However harsh it may sound he left himself very easy prey.

I believe he would not have been in the team. We won the treble with centre backs in full back positions.
If walker didn't start the CL final there's no way mendy would have.
