Seems the right time to remember Merlin on the sad news of his ACL injury and retirement from football. I still hope he can come back and say goodbye. Because of Covid he never did.

I think I agree. Pure magic to watch. And he still feels a little bit like our own little secret. I don't think fans of other clubs ever really realised how good he actually was.

What a player. In years to come people will be gobsmacked to read we had so many world class players in the team and arguably Silva was the best of them

I hadn’t heard this, sad news he’s retiring due to injury.
An absolute footballing genius, so happy I witnessed this man play in a City shirt. One of the greatest ever players to grace our team, We were very lucky to have him.

How lucky we have been. We got to watch all of them play in blue every week. Love them all but nothing made me happier than when Yaya came alive.
