Haven't really made up my mind yet. But I do believe that Foden is better in all conceivable positions.

Big yes from me he will be here long after Erling fucks off. Can we fit him and Erling in a 2 up top is the issue for me he's wasted out wide

be nice if he could finish… he’s a good player, but not an elite one

I am surprised that at your youngish age NT you haven't had a double knee replacements.

Pep has been here, what 7 years? With the exception of a few, it's taken the majority of his choices a year or so to come good. This time last year it was Grealish we were bitching about. No doubt it'll be either Kova or Gvardiol next.

In short, keep the faith NT

He’s fine, he likely won’t be one of our top top stars, but a player who plays regularly and gets normal striker levels of goals and assists is needed.

Not sure why Haaland is getting hooked first tho. Maybe pep trying to really get him eager.

To give alvarez minutes in his actual position

Top level for energy & movement, control and passing still a way to go.

Haaland is better without Alvarez and Alvarez is better without Haaland, so far.

Might take a bit of time for them to get used to playing with each other.

Was fine once haaland went off. He is at his best through the middle up top, he is not a number 10 or a winger. Don’t know why we persist with it esp when we have actual number 10s in our squad

When the games wrapped ok, last week annoyed me.

Someone talking sense. Would be superb if given a good run of starts. I think he's a great foil for Haaland

Alvarez is a fuckign world class player who has proved that time and again in Latin America ( was voted the bets player in Latin America for fucks sake !)and in the world cup.
It cannot help his progress if Baldie plays him in positions that stifle his natural game.

Agree, playing him out of position is a problem. Who do you want starting up top - Alvarez or Haaland - because that is the stark choice it seems?

Can we not have both ?

He's still better than cry baby bottler Jesus and miss from two yards Sterling. One season with us and we won the treble. Playing him out of position and expecting miracles is ludicrous. Might as well stick Ederson up front and expect him to deliver.

P.s remember Rodders? Everyone was up in arms about his performances at the start, wasnt everyone calling him 'crane'? Well, look at him now.

Either give him time to develop in a new role or play him in his natural position.

Who gets left out to play him as a second striker in a 4-4-2? That is not a possession based formation and everything that Pep regards as fundamental relies on possession.
