Welcome Jérémy Doku "The Belgian Flash" #11

Expect to remove the question mark very soon. 60th minute appearance as sub last night for Rennes, no notable impact but post match their manager confirmed he was probably en route to us. Compact RW with real pace and energy, he should do well in our set up when required. Only 21 but current Belgian international with roots in Ghana and no doubt backed by KDB.

Hopefully not backed by Kompany after the Gomez error.

Looking at Saturday’s bench we definitely need a couple of reinforcements. A midfielder and a winger. If Doku comes in will Palmer be sold? Stones out for the Sheffield United and Fulham games. Manageable I suppose. Fit for England and then gets injured? Aieeeee.

60m euro according to City Extra.

Would be a shame if we sold Palmer.

Why sell Palmer? Makes no sense, we're light enough as it is.

From my untrained eye I don't think his heart is 100% in it. I have heard he isn't a City fan and I don't know whether that makes a difference? Maybe if he was he would give everything, whereas at the moment I don't think he does.

He is a good player undoubtedly, but he isn't good enough for us yet. Maybe in training he lacks whatever it is Pep requires?

I get all of that, heard the rumours before. Just worried that the squad is very thin and with Laporte gone, we should be holding on to what we have. Enough have left.
A few more injuries and we're in trouble.

Maybe there's a lad in the Academy who we have high hopes for? Bobb maybe? McAtee?

I get what you're saying though and we have discounted a loan option. So unless someone gives us what we want then he is staying. Which IMO isn't necessarily a bad thing to have him as a squad player to aid rotation

Good old Count Doku

This is instead of Mahrez. Can't see it relates to Palmer at all. Whether he stays or goes probably a separate issue

Anyone that has doubts about whether to stay with City, to the point Pep has to publicly say we don’t know what’s happening with them, should just do one. Won’t shed a tear if Palmer goes.

Yeah and ultimately I don't think he'll be good enough. Some flash bits and a lot of mediocrity isn't really what's required

Heard the news on the radio, followed by saying that he’s a bit of a whizz but not very good at producing goals.

I wonder what Pep could do with him?

Watched the YouTube video and he doesn’t seem to have a good end product which is backed up by his low number of assists last season.

In city I trust though and we defo needed another competent body in attack.

He is 21. Fitting that he should be written off already.
Last week Phil Foden couldn't play central either.

Going off this video, you might have a point about his heart not being in it

What team does he support (according to these rumours)?
