If he is not training he wont play. Not sure about this going on strike stuff. Wolves could dig their heels in and say fuck you.

I don’t like it one bit. Says a lot about his character

I’d walk away from the deal. It isn’t as if he’s a world class player either.

I don't like he's actions, but then again, remember what Mahrez did before he joined us?

The Mahrez example is spot on. Some people were sniffy about Kovacic and he’s turned out to be a bargain. Pep is enthusiastic about him and he’s not often wrong.

O'Neil: No fresh bids for Nunes
Gary O’Neil has said he expects midfielder Matheus Nunes to remain at Wolves beyond Friday’s transfer deadline day with Manchester City yet to lodge an improved offer for the Portugal international, who has stopped training in a bid to force through a move.

I wouldn’t attach much importance to Gary O’Neill’s remarks. Tolmie points out that Wolves are buying a 10 million player from Girona which is owned by CFG and Peps brother…..

French football news quoting a L’Equipe exclusive that Wolves have accepted our latest offer for Nunes. I’m cautious because I can’t find the L’Equipe link but it would not surprise me,

£5M sounds a bit cheap? Maybe the 50% sell on clause offsets that?

But seems to me if we want one of their players and they want one of ours, we are being undersold a little

55 million euros with no add ons is a lot less than the £60 million that Wolves were demanding. Sky Kaveh says the Doyle transaction is a loan with a 5 million option to buy and 50 per cent add on. A very good deal for City and we get cover for Kevin. Of course Kovacic and Nunes aren’t like for like for Gundogan and Kovacic but no one was going to be. We have to replace goals and assists from Gundogan and Mahrez ( and Kevin for half a season). That’s the challenge. Let’s not forget keeping Bernardo and Walker. It’s been a very good window.

I didnt want him to sign, i dont believe hes attacking enough. We are going to be very hard to beat and have a lot of sideways passes(started already rodri is now our most dangerous player), it wont be as exciting to watch as we have been over the years but it may still be enough. I am disappointed though and 5m for doyle is a joke, just won the euros with england. There aint a player in that squad moving for 5m.

All that said he will get my support, obviously hope I am wrong and he is a belter!

Welcome to the best team in the world you lucky fuck!

Pep really rates Nunes which should weigh with you. I think with Kovacic and Nunes we e got a lot more possibilities to rest Rodri which was a big issue last season. City weren’t prepared to go for Eze as well presumably because Kevin will be back and Pep doesn’t like a lot of unhappy players on the bench. It’s been a really good window overall.

I see plenty saying he's not good enough. This time 8 years ago we were also signed a flop in KDB.
Not saying Nunes will reach those levels but I trust pep and the lads, they get it right most of the time and that's more than good enough.

Kdbs numbers in Germany and his performances there were top notch, think he won german footballer of the year while there too.

Nunes had a half decent game against united were he couldnt finish his dinner and a season of mediocrity at Wolves where his numbers were awful(1 goal and 1 assist), i dont buy his numbers were so bad because he played in a poor team. Ward Prowse played in one of the worst ever prem teams last season and still smashed him as did players from the other relegated teams(maddison, barnes, dewsbury hall, somerville, harrison just to name a few).

I said it before and I will say it again, he’s incredibly fortunate to be signing for the best team in the world(and getting a pay rise) based on what he has produced in the last 12 months because he hasnt deserved it based on performance.
