Because he "spearheaded Arsenal's title charge"

Better than spear heading a treble win then?
Oh dear

Were Pigmol and VAR involved?

A truly laughable decision

Can someone explain to me how it's possible for Haaland to beat Saka to the main award (which means more of the journos (?) that vote for these awards voted for Haaland), but the same voters then say Saka was better than Haaland as a "young" player? The logic of that defies belief!!

This one isn't voted for by the journos- it's the players.

Whoever voted for them, the logic is still twisted!

How does Odegaard beat Gundogan to be in the TOTY. Stupid awards

I would have expected Walker to be in there too, along with Bernie, Eddy, Jack & Nathan ! (Julian & Phil too - not sure about Riyad) ;)

Every player votes and you can't vote for your own team mates.
Can't argue with Odegaard, he got 15 league goals and 7 assists- nearly double Gundo on both counts.

Odegaard I can accept, but Saka is just a sympathy vote. Anyway it matters little, a minor distraction. Like manager of the month etc all meaningless. The real trophies are handed out in May/June.

There was a huge sympathy and #Iamsaka vibe since the Euro final penalty miss, or so I've felt as a non english.
