If it goes thru at that price its a good deal for us. Good luck to him but i think he'll not fulfill his potential. Always think he's a bit lightweight. Doku looks physically more explosive, stronger and quicker.

He has to dislodge Sterling who has started the season in decent form so will probably be as limited with minutes as he was with us. Then there’s the danger that the next Manager through the revolving door won’t fancy him. He didn’t fancy fighting for his place in our small squad but thinks he’ll be a shoe-in amongst the hundreds of players that the chavs have.
Balotelli......that's a brilliant finish.

Links with former City coach now on the Chavs payroll in play apparently.

45 million quid for a lad with very limited senior football experience is a great deal for us.

I do believe he could've made it with us, but in all honesty, if he was all that, we would fight harder to keep him. That's why I'm not too sad to see him go.

£45m is great business.

He’s been around the first team for 2-3 years now and I don’t think he’s good enough for us.

Comparing him and Foden at the same ages, Foden was levels above Palmer.

If we’re willing to sell him to a potential rival in Chelsea, the club obviously don’t rate him too highly.

Pep has repeatedly said if they want out we won't stand in their way. He obviously didn't get a guarantee that he would get more starts this season that he wanted.

So yes the money and the decision is bang on by City.

Don't think I've seen Doku play. But I've seen a lot of Palmer and he's not good enough.

That'll be over 400 million from Academy players while Pep's been here and in my opinion the only possible mistake was Lavia.
Miguel Delaney is now crying about the money from selling Academy players being used to aid FFP figures- he really does hate us.

He only started a few PL games for us. He didn't get real opportunities.
I think he could progress, but at Chelsea I don't know.

How the hell did we get 45 for him and 45 combined for Laporte and Cancelo?

So he's crying about us having a well-developed sustainable business model? What a soft tw@t!

Exactly- he's said somethings wrong with FFP when it incentivises selling academy products when it should be encouraging the opposite.
Can't have a pop about our spending anymore so he's found a new stick.

He, along with others, is a very bitter man. As you say, having to change the narrative as we continue to build and grow. The whole idea of the academy and how to run it successfully is there for all to see and it is breaking their tiny hearts as a source of attracting the worlds top talent and as a fantastic revenue stream. Fuck the lot of them. What next, a cap on profits?

I saw the ridiculous Delaney attack ( presumably on us) for selling academy players. We offer young players with talent and application a superb football education. Inevitably the vast majority won’t make it to the City first team but if they get a good career they benefit. The idea that we shouldn’t benefit too for our investment in them is crackers.

If you’re still at City when you’re aged 20/21, even if you don’t make it with us you are still going to have a good career at some level.

Even if it’s not Premier League, you’ll still be at a professional club, earning good money and living the dream of playing football as a job.

We are the best team in the world so it is extremely difficult to break into our side. Cole Palmer hasn’t shown he’s good enough for us but he’s going to have a good career and we are the ones who gave that to him.
