I've played games on a pitch on top of the IKEA car park garage in Utrecht. That was the highest I ever reached in my football career.

I don't know if you intended that as a pun, but a pitch on top of an IKEA garage may well be the highest-altitude pitch in the Netherlands.

Yeah, works better in other Germanic languages, where high/low altitude is often used figuratively, like zenith/nadir in English.
