If we don't top the group with that lot, we deserve to go out.

Looking forward to the Wankdorf. Last time i was there Bruce, the Boss played. All three locations by train , keep my carbon footprint down.

That would be a much more suitable name for the swamp.

Leipzig aside because that's a bit boring, that's a fun group. Tasty away game in Belgrade and a trip to Switzerland, some fun away days there.

Barry Bennell FC hosting Young Boys. Lovely stuff.

Only international connections are to Montenegro (forgot about that one), and a train to Budapest with a bus connection over the border that takes around 11 hours. The rail system is undergoing a massive overhaul that began around 2015, and intensified massively around 2018. With Expo 26 having been announced a few months ago, the train projects are all up in the air once again.

If we hand picked a group it wouldn't be too dissimilar from what we actually got

Failure to qualify from here would be disastrous

Direct buses to Zurich twice a week with official companies (Tus and Sat), and plenty more minibuses (probably 1-2 per day on average). Or if you're willing to ignore the carbon, 4-5 direct flights per day in each direction.

Also, I'll be looking for a ticket for the Belgrade game if anyone would be able to get hold of a spare. I live about 2 miles away from the stadium.

If someone can get me a ticket, I'll be more than happy to.

The official fan gathering point is a place called 'Plato', and I know a couple of people who work there (it's below the archaeology department, so a fair few archaeology students get part-time jobs there). There's a decent brew pub less than 200 metres away from it, too.

Also, depending on UEFA licensing, it seems, the UEFA Youth League games will most likely be played just around the corner from me (in a stadium bult on top of a shopping centre, which is a pretty odd experience. It's second on the list here: https://www.redbull.com/ie-en/theredbul ... -the-world - I think I can actually make out my building in the vid).

I've played games on a pitch on top of the IKEA car park garage in Utrecht. That was the highest I ever reached in my football career.

I don't know if you intended that as a pun, but a pitch on top of an IKEA garage may well be the highest-altitude pitch in the Netherlands.
