They ended pre season in a bit of shambles. What a turnaround. Spent the Rice money well.

Amazed Everton didn't come for Phillips after shipping out Iwobi - they look doomed now - no squad depth.

Remember Dyche’s mantra is minimum requirement is 100% effort. That puts Phillips out of the reckoning.
Unless he means the buffet at lunchtime

Burnley thrashed at home again. What Kompany is trying is not working. He has to change the way they play and soon or they will get cast adrift

It's quite simple really. Needs to stop trying to play football, basically

I just wonder whether he will stick at it as evidence he can manage this way as if he is auditioning for a better job

Us Villa and Spuds not too many burnley fans would have had them down for many - if any points from those games.. I think they will settle and stay up. Luton and Everton are both dog shit sheff utd not too far behind / in front.

All at home though. And it's home form which usually dictates whether a team survives or not

True but they will cause teams problems away with the way they look to play. I cannot see Vinny changing their style - fair play to him he will live or die by it and there will be a lot of interested parties watching how he goes

Has Newcastle qualifying for the Champions League come a Season to early for them i wonder ?
Having wealthy owners but hampered this Season in spending by UEFA spending rules.
Chelsea have spent over a Billion with no Champions League
Newcastle in comparison peanuts, so unable to push on full steam ahead this Season.
No idea what Chelsea long term plan is to balance the Books

A resurrection of the European Super League financed by Saudi is my guess
