ortega
lewis akanji gvardional ake
nunes phillips grealish
bobb doku
alvarez

I’d actually be tempted to rest Alvarez as well. He is a big reason why we aren’t missing KDB as much IMO
We need a new match thread boys ;)

Here’s Pep talking about Wednesdays match. Walker and Ruben clearly not going to play. Grealish will probably start. Rico and Bobb have a good chance of starting or at least decent minutes.

I'd say Rico and Bobb are definites along with Gomez, Phillips and Ortega.

Looking at the EDS team that played last Friday ( and is likely to be playing tonight) , it was made up of:
Under 19's 2
Under 18's 8
Under 17's 6

And I am not sure many , maybe none, of you on here will have heard of any of those players. There were at least 3 players missing in that group, Ndala , O'Reilly and Mascal but it hardly changes the fact that any players remotely ready for first team action are already working with the first team squad

I don't know much about the actual under 18's this season but I do know the team that beat Leeds 5.2 on Saturday had 2 15 year olds in it.

To quote Pep it is what it is. The decision was taken to let a load of the EDS lads go which obviously promotes the next wave coming through. Only time will tell whether it will be a plan that benefits the club or not.
