One player who hasn’t been mentioned in this thread and was motm for me is Lewis. He hardly put a foot wrong, kept the midfield flowing beautifully a wonderfully confident, quality performance from a fantastic player. Take a bow lad, you are the future of City.

He selflessly took the blame for the goal post match - tbf Walker would have done a lot better there if not in midfield.

Fitting Kova into the midfield mix is an ongoing problem - Pep admitted his first half was poor but in truth he was little better in the second.

Jack was back on it last night. Proves we can play him and Doku in the same team when required. Rodders is a machine, Rico is going to be a superstar. So comfortable in possession the whole time. Turns away from trouble and always looking forward and for the positive pass.Should have done better for the goal but was close to MOTM for me. Haaland is a monster, his link up play improves all the time and the assist for the disallowed goal was fantastic. Scored 2 when he's still missing loads because he's always in position. Thought Ake was class. The only negative was Kova/ Nunes together. They were both poor.

Kovacic and Nunes aren’t good enough for our first team. Kovacic could barely get into Chelsea’s team!! Nunes wasn’t even stand out for Wolves.

Maybe it was just me, but both Jack and Doku seemed really on it on the left, but not so much on the right.
Agree with everything else.

Kovacic and Nunes. I don't want to see either of them anywhere near the team Sunday. I was not impressed by either of them last night. Nunes gives the ball away too easily. Kovacic, I don't know, to me he looks a little clumsy or slow for our style of play.

Kovacic is too slow - the split second passes is beyond him and that’s why he won’t make it at City .
