Win. That is all.

Not confident at the moment, but Haaland is due to make some goalie pay. Might as well be tonight

Heart says 3-1
Head says 1-1

Might revise on announcement of team sheet

Agree with that team if Doku isn't fit but if he's ok for the bench then surely he plays

I think he'll be brought on but they need all hands to the defensive pump out of possession and Doku has not shown up well doing that job.

Akanji needs to finally be dropped. He is a walking disaster every week. I'd rather see Gvardiol given a chance at centre back than keeping Akanji there. Gvardiol isn't a left back and it shows in his performances.

But I'll take any win tonight, don't care about the performance. We've been playing poorly for most of the season but are still in the title race. After tonight we have a good run of fixtures coming up so if we can get a good result tonight, we'll be in a good position to kick-on.

Mistake prone but along with Walker he's our quickest defender which is needed for Villa's counter attacking game. Pep may also prefer Gvardiol to Ake for that reason but agree Ake is currently a better system fit.

Stones has been alright for the bench for weeks but Pep hasn’t played him.

Stones is made of glass and was coming back from an injury. Hopefully he's ready for a full game tonight.
It's been Doku or Grealish all season on the left, Doku goes off injured- Jack comes on and gets himself suspended.
We were thinking of all alternative plans there, if Doku is fit he'll play I'd imagine then we only have the Rodri replacement worry.

I’d just throw Bobb in that position.

I thought Pep said Stones ready to play tonight which should mean....

Walker, Dias, Stones, Ake surely?

Kovacic deputising for Rodri?

Haven't felt this bad for years. But how I'd have welcomed 3 draws in the 90s

Perhaps this is one game where the opposition think they don't need to park the bus ?

We'll be ok but i' ll take any victory even a dull boring 1-0

Any win and i will be happy. Villa will be tough to beat and are having a good season.
I'm hoping that the injustice they felt after the ref fucked up against Tottenham and the subsequent Pep vs Carragher /Neville/ Richards spat will fire these boys up and get them them playing as we all know they can.

If its a repeat of the last few games Villa could stuff us
