I hope Pep goes back to picking Square Pegs to go in to Square Holes for a while. Especially defensively..Please Pep for the love of God play the right players in the right positions. Gvardiol is way to slow to play as a full back,it invites trouble. He is a Center back..Most of our troubles are coming from a defense being fucked about with every game conceding stupid Goals that cause them to lose confidence and capitulate. We need defensive consistency.

Ederson
Walker Dias Gvardiol Ake
Rodri
Kovacic Foden
Bernardo Grealish
Haaland
Would be the team I would go for, maybe Lewis in for Kovacic.

I’d go with that if Stones isn’t fit. If he is, Dias needs a spell on the bench.

Dias was by a stretch our best player against Villa.

Ederson was but okay

Edit: according to the stats, Josko was our best player. Funny ol’ world isn’t it

Apart from the 10-0 prediction that looks good, but, as bad as we have been, there is no way we are losing 10-0

Anyone catch that thick rag slug Stone calling us 'boring' in the presser? BBC escaped the swamp media ban for telling the truth last week too.

Gets my vote too, now Stones is fit, the back 4 should not change in the league, excepting any injuries.

I would like to see Gvardiol actually play CB on Wednesday to see what he's got.

Rumoured to not have travelled, could be being rested or personal reasons, no mention of injury, maybe he's got COVID, lots going round again.

Crickey, since 2020 and covid i've worked remote for my clients. Sunday before last i helped out at an indoor football tournament for my Village club, spent six hours there cooking etc. Like five others, i came home with Covid. Although i have the shots, last week it knocked me sideways. Serious headache and fever. just for helping out in one of a few social events ! Covid is all over the place - just not reported anymore and very few bother to test.

Hope the young lad doesn't have it, i wouldn't wish it on anyone.

if he's got Covid he won't be the only one in our dressing room to succumb, think it's unlikely tbh with the precautions they take, In the last 7 days 24 cases reported https://lginform.local.gov.uk/reports/v ... risonGroup

I suffer badly with a more or less constant cold Oct onwards, our 91yr old Mum has been in hospital best part of 6 weeks (long story), so i was banned from going to see her by siblings.

2 weeks ago, i went to see her as I'd cleared up enough (masked up). Next day she had covid and i was mortified I'd given her it!! Thankfully i hadn't, she has since beaten it & the pneumonia it kindly gave her and is back on the mend.

4 in our office have had it also in last 3 weeks (2 mild, 2 bad) so i am back to testing every 3 days presently.

Anyway, back to footie, as long as we have Stones in and Rodri, i am confident of a change in direction and 3 points.
