Up early today for church.

Come on City!!!

Must win today. Hopefully Luton get giddy and come out and attack us.

The last meeting between the sides came in the third tier in April 1999, with goals from Paul Dickov and Tony Vaughan giving Manchester City a 2-0 win at Maine Road.

City are unbeaten in nine matches games against Luton since losing to them in September 1986, when Brian Stein scored the only goal at Kenilworth Road (W4, D5).

How long before the commentator mentions 1983 and nonce Pleat running across the Maine Road turf?

I'll wager it features heavily in the pre match build up and 3 minutes in once the match has started

Definitely an opportunity to compare the cost of our bench to their starting 11

Funny how we only ever see these graphics when we are in town.

Despite the fact we are longer even close to being the biggest spenders any longer and haven't been for some time

For me Doku must play if fit. He is our only exciting player just now. We play with Foden and Grealish to keep width but neither are wingers. Can we not pass back so much and waist so many free kicks and corners. just play quicker, more positive and a little more direct. How many goals would Haaland be scoring then??.
Notice I said a little more direct. Not just lump it long and look for the big guy but controlled.

Haaland not travelling? Injured or do we think he's not needed against a lesser team or is he just resting and recharging batteries

There isn't anything of note in the home fans forums for today, and not enough for its own thread. The most interesting thing is that the team plane could not leave Manchester yesterday because of the weather, so they have only travelled this morning. Whatever happens today has to be better than Wednesday night, and the three points are becoming more relevant.

Referee: Tim Robinson
Assistants: Marc Perry, Mat Wilkes
Fourth official: Craig Pawson
VAR: Jarred Gillett
Assistant VAR: Darren Cann

And the rest…

Today is the 5th time the Hatters will face the current European Cup holders at Kenilworth Road, and the first time in the league since 1984.

Even though they lose a lot, results for Luton are always very close. Will be happy with a win and don’t care how it comes about.

I was THERE......watched the violent aftermath outside Main Road , black maria tipped over ( or attacked ) Bobby on the horses ramming into our fans .

It was mayhem and I cried all the way back home that day we got relegated.

Best not make me cry today City or the mayhem on this board will resurface and OD will be forced into self imposed exile.

Wonder if they mention Denis Law scoring six goals at Luton, only for the game to be abandoned due to weather conditions, with City six goals ahead, and, City lost the re-arranged game 3-1. Not a lot of people know that
