This is where I end up time and again with utd fans. Apparently, popular folklore would have you believe that SLY did not bankroll them to be their poster boys. Bacon only stayed because we pissed on his triumphal exit when we won the title the P/L had promised him.

Thought he announced his retirement years before, around 2003? Somewhere ages ago and it was his wife who basically told him that she wasn’t going to have him moping round the house and to rescind his decision. She knew he was a cantankerous old cunt as well
