Surprised Chelsea let go Kovacic. With all their young players they could have done with his experience. Our gain.

Agreed. He’s class and still only 27 so could well be the future for us.

Very impressed with the way he played coming on at a difficult moment in a big match against Liverpool. Played in big matches for Croatia of course.

Long way too go for him. His feet and movement is so quick the ball is like a pinball, flies off at all angles. Had a couple of chances but was way off target with his shots.

Really pleased with Kovacic performance. I was doubtful he would fit in, but today was a superb performance. I think we need him in our first 11 now.

BBC showing all of Doku’s misses. Not sure why, he was class today. A little glimpse of the future for us and it looks bright!

The 'why' is because he had alot of misses/ errors when he should have done better. He must be watching Walker too closely.

Don't think so, he's getting a good kicking at close quarters every week from at least two defenders which creates the room for Foden, Doku et al to exploit. Seems Akanji's fleetness of foot has earned him a regular starring berth too.

He is 100% not running into spaces as he did last season and his head seems to drop recently when things don't go his way....that's how I see it.

Agree with this. I've not checked his goals per game ratio but my gut feeling is that he started to lose enthusiasm when he achieved the PL goal scoring record. His goals started to dry up ( he is still good) from then on. He didn't finish last season strongly and i thought this season he wasn't like his best. Perhaps what we saw was a one off red hot streak?

Were you all watching the game yesterday , he is running into space and he is not being supplied. Doku alone had several clear chances to play him in. Foden starts being greedy and shoots from anywhere.

Kova has adjusted to us. With Rodri and him that middle of the pitch is strengthening us. Haaland is not last season’s version yet, for lots of reasons, all to be worked out by him Pep and the squad. The manhandling of him seems to be acceptable to the officials. Gvardardiol will become a legend in my honest opinion so young but has the lot. I want to see him at CB.

That's exactly how I saw last night's game for him. More than one occasion his head went down after not being played in. As has been said before, we eirher play to his strengths or he can be largely anonymous.
