Difficult to leave him out after the last two performances.Im guessing SO MA JS RD JG RO PF KdB JG EH BS. Big call is whether Kovacic starts or not. If he does one of the creative players will miss out.

Akankji v Vinicius ? Are you insane ? He will be left for dust .

Can see us setting up more solid in the middle so wouldn't be suprised to see kova start and Phil pushed out right. If we don't were asking a lot from Rodri, who I thought looked a little tired today.

It’s Akanji or Stones and I guess Akanji gets the nod. Walker isn’t available so it is what it is. He’s a pretty good stopper when all’s said and done.

The other point to bear in mind is that whoever plays on the right will have to spend most of their time helping out whoever plays at right back. Losing Walker is not ideal for this particular match.

No matter how you look at it, our defence has been shite this season. Running out of crack fillers.

Tebas might be a slimeball, but he certainly seems to be no friend or ally of Real. Not really sure if it's the club itself he's got a beef with, of just Florentino Perez, who he's been having a running feud with for a couple of years. Maybe someone with knowledge of Spanish football can elaborate?

Walker will be missed as one on one and covering. Our defence lacks pace and sitting deep for this one would be a safer option and keep it tight. A draw would be a great result.

Well he clearly isn't because both him and RM are threatening to take each other to court. There's stuff in the media all the time about it, and it's a fact that Tebas and Perez have refused to speak to each other for the last couple of years. As I say, it would be interesting to hear from someone who knows about Spanish football. He probably is RM all day long when they're playing us, but he certainly isn't cosy with them.

Real Madrid have no players suspended for this match, but Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni are a yellow card away from missing the second leg.

Don't bet on Ruben- he's our only player who'll miss the 2nd leg if he gets booked.

Two big calls for Pep. Ortega or Ederson. From what he said sounds like Ortega might get the nod. The other is whether he plays Kovacic alongside Rodri in which case one of the creative players has to make way. Probably either Grealish or Bernardo. If Gvardiol isn’t fit I presume Akanji will play left and maybe Stones plays right but then who plays alongside Dias? Three at the back at the Bernabeu? Wow. Maybe Bernardo plays left back?!

given our defensive pace issues we should set up like arsenal did against us and try to hit them on the break.
it will be the opposite though and they’ll sit back and we’ll get caught by them on the break.
expecting a frustrating night.
hoping we get out with a draw.

Stone's hammy is an issue - no way he is fully fit. Defence is going to have to pick itself from what remains - fuck knows what that looks like but Pep won't play Rico. Both Foden and Bernie were rested against palace but I don't see Pep taking KDB and / or Erling out which he will do against Luton. We don't sit back against anyone, anywhere but am expecting Kova to start

Gvardiol apparently not at training. No Ake or Walker. Bernardo may have to play at LB. We’re really down to the bare bones in defence. Reminds me of a couple of years ago when an unfit Stones played at Right Back and broke down after 15 minutes.
