Should be a solid enough midfield and they are all grafters in that XI, Haaland aside. And I’m a little surprised Alvarez doesn’t start ahead of him as he does graft. The issues will be in defence so hopefully all that start are actually fit

He’s a wet fuckin lettuce. Foden would be injecting all sorts just to play. I know Kev is ginger and naturally is malnourished and his immune system will be shite, but he’s a proper wet lettuce.

It means Foden will play central and forward which is what most people want. Plus decent protection for the back four which hasn’t been that solid and is probably going to need it.

What a load of bollocks - if he was ‘ unwell’ he’d be back in fucking Manchester.

Having said that , if it means foden playing in the central role then so be it but I don’t see how we can’t play them both -

Their midfield look juicy

Valverde
Camavinga
Bellingham

I wish we went for either Valverde or Camavinga or even both instead of wasting £55m on wet drip Nunes, waste of space Phillips £42m and kova £25m. That's a total of £122m.

Absolutely shocking business

Kova is a tidy player to have in the squad….for matches against Bournemouth and Everton. Not fuckin Madrid!! No way is he a starter.

I suppose Kev bottling it again isn’t a help though. Either Kovacic or Nunes - how the fuck did we get here?

I gave up on the City youTube offering. It's The Goat and 3 yapping women. No ta. There is something not quite right with a lot of our media output.

A lor of unnecessary negativity on here tonight could be a blessing that Phil gets to play centrally. We have needed cover on the wings and am only surprised Erling gets the nod over Alvarez. Lets aee what we are made of

You'd have played Alvarez over Haaland? Wow. Huge call. Not for me, absolutely not. Interesting take though.

Alvarez would be better against Rudiger. Alvarez has mobility Haaland plays into his hands in the static physical battle.
Hopefully I am way wrong and Erling bags a brace.
