Hi guys, I’m currently in France and my travel plans changed drastically, so I found myself with an extra few days on my hand and decided to fly to London on the 8th. So I will be there for the Community Shield match.
What are my chances/ options to find a ticket for the match. I’ll appreciate any advise, hints that you can offer. Cheers

Cheers mate. I found tickets online available at various prices. What sector is the best to be with/near City fans.

Can’t say which will be ‘best’ but avoid the seats around the halfway line. Best view but can be a lousy atmosphere as you may end up next to, or near to, the barrier separating the City and Utd fans.

Even if you don’t get a ticket, get yourself down before the match and soak up the atmosphere. Not sure which side City have but if you get there and follow City fans you’ll see which pubs are blue. Well worth doing.

No problem. Happened to us for the Chelsea semi. I was at the end of the row, with stewards standing next to me and around 60 feet of plastic sheeting covering up the seats beyond them. Definitely the worst atmosphere I’ve experienced at Wembley.

I bought tickets off a website called Stubhub. Seems legit, a friend of mine has used them with no problems.
Any pub around Wembley for the pregame drinks ?

StubHub is legit. Used them loads before.
Pubs depend on what side of the stadium we have. Green Man is always fun, if we’ve got that side of the stadium. When you get there ask a City fan which side (I did with a Watford fan when we played them)

I wouldn't fucking bother. This Countries gone to the dogs and it's broken. Head to somewhere hot with the game on on a nice bar.

Yes there are a few pubs. Also on the walkways into the ground there are coloured zones ,where you can imbibe if needed before entering Etihad south. Typically fans will meet in these zones before entering the ground.
If you get the fast train, one stop from Marylebone station to Wembley, there is a pub in the left corner by the main station entrance where many families and friends meet up. Train is very quick to the ground.

Too late mate, everything is booked and the game is afoot !! I’m currently in Cannes and it’s bloody hot here so a few days of cool weather in London will be nice.

Stubhub is legit in terms of they will deliver u a ticket but its still a glorified touting site. They are creaming off the top.

I’ve just read that we’re on the West side of the stadium, so I’d head for Green Man mate. It’s up a slight hill and on the right (if you’re walking away from Wembley). Good atmosphere in there and most blues will be heading there.

Just told an old work colleague who now lives in Thailand about the green man, definitely worth going. You deserve a pint after walking up that hill mind, but that's probs my age and current weight

Our coach for the Wigan final parked up there. Absolute torrential downpour at full time walking up that hill getting soaked

Put me off Wembley for years.
