Predicting the team selection won’t be easy. Rodri almost certainly won’t start though I’d be surprised if he wasn’t on the bench. Foden will likely start on the bench. KDB may well get the nod. We shall see.

Re Stones. He didn’t come back quickly at the end of last season. He was on the bench match after match and played very few minutes. We got him fit for England.

There is going to be a big hole through the centre of our team todsy, someone needs to plug it. If not, we are going to need our strongest defence. Mind, saying that, would not surprise me if Pep looks to put Manu in the Rodders role

I suspect he’ll play Kovacic and Bernardo as a double pivot when we’re out of possession.

As expected. None of the England returnees start. Doku instead of Grealish is perhaps a slight surprise. I suspect Bernardo and Kovacic will play double pivot when we haven’t got the ball.
