Had a great season, nice that his contribution has been recognised. He’s won the young player twice and was one of four players in the pfa team of the year with Walker, Rodri and Haaland. Well done Phil, hope he keeps improving.

He’s been average at best since the Euros - playing the safe option time and time again .

Not worthy of a start at the moment in my opinion. - regardless of being the POTS.

Bit harsh after 45 mins of football? Unless you're counting the friendlies (which you shouldn't)...

Richly deserved based on his performances last season. More of the same this season please Phil

Can't count the friendlies as he wasn't involved.

So hopefully that 45mins he has shaken off the stench of Southgate and normal service can resume

I thought he was terrific when he came on against Chelsea. Up to that point, although we had the lead, we were erratic and kept giving the ball away and Foden provided that really safe steady control that we regained as the second half went on. He didn't do anything spectacular but was as steady as a rock, just what we needed.

I don't quite understand your view that he's been average at best since the Euro's given that this was his first game. He literally didn't put a foot wrong.

I actually meant during the euros and his 45 mins the other day...............I'm probably being harsh.

I thought he played very safe for England, which is genius Southgate’s fault. He will star again this season I’m sure.

Did anyone who is normally attack minded for their club do themselves justice playing under Southgate?

No, it was abysmal. So much talent at his disposal, and he inexplicably left Grealish at home….. how they got to the final I’ll never know, hey ho…. he’s gone now.
