Very possible we'll have qualified by matchday 7. Would have thought that's the plan so we can rotate and rest for a couple of games

Inter at home is arguably the toughest match. Inter might be happy with a draw but we will want to start off with a win.

So if 24 qualify from this set of games. Does 1 play 24 , 2 play 23, 3 play 22 and so on ? or do they all go into a hat again ? All seems a bit pointless and has down valued the European Cup further. Way too many games being played. eight instead of six.

I can see Pep wanting to go to Wembley again in February for the Caribao Cup too.

8 qualify as of right for the last 16. The other eight places are filled by play offs between numbers 9 and 24. From then on the draws go ahead as last year. Those who are eliminated either in the play offs or because of league positions 25 to 36 do not qualify for the Europa Cup.

I had a gut feeling we were going to get Bratislava away.
Read the comments when the draw was made, they were in heaven.

We are the team every small team wants to play in their own turf.
I am still amazed how far we went.

For anyone considering going to Bratislava away, fly in to Vienna and get the train across the border it's only about 60 minutes.

Flying direct is extremely limited and costly, we send engineers to Slovakia frequently and always fly to Vienna.

Approx six dollars with train direct from the Vienna Airport

This format seems really, really bad.

I think they fucked it up badly.
