i hyper-extened my knee at the beginning of the summer (did it walking down some steps, missed one and in trying to 'save myself' jarred my knee) hurt like hell for about a minute but then settled down. knee swelled up, went for a scan and, thankfully, it was nothing serious that a few weeks rest wouldn't cure. hoping the same goes for rodders, am sure with all the dr's, sport scientists and equipment we have to hand he'll be back in a few weeks - am guessing/hoping after the october international break at worst?

It's hard for any player to deputise for Rodri, - he's the best in the world but Kova has done a good job this season.
Certainly neither goal was anything to do with him but the big difference 2nd half was with the amount of the ball he had on the edge of their box there's a good chance that Rodri would have had a few better shots on target as he scores so many important goals. Having said that Kova got the assist for the equaliser and if Rodders is ok for after the international break we only have Newcastle and Fulham in the league plus Bratislava away not including Watford which he wouldn't have played in- I'm sure he'll be fine for those.

Pep put Dias in his position with Kova, Gundo, Stones, Rico etc all available - interesting. No doubt we would have won the game with Rodri on, he is vital at corners (although didn't stop Gabriel's first attempt) - the gooners probably have a specialist coach for damaging opponents - Havertz & Partey got their job done pretty quickly.

Ederson was mainly at fault for the goals IMO as his positioning was SHIT and his command of his area was non existent - we could have conceded another one as he fell over like a light weight .

His performance was fucking diabolical .

We didn't even try to bring in a back up in the summer when it was blantently obvious one was needed.
Gross negligence and incompetence.

I fucking really do hope Kaldoon has that irrefutable evidence.

The frustrating thing is we saw it coming. Everyone here was shouting about that.

We always always get punished when we know we have a risk area, fans want to address and it seems the club takes the risk each time (Company, dinho) now wtf do we do if it's haaland ???

When will the club announce the extent of his injury?

ACL injury apparrently. Out for the season. Not doing too well at the moment with injuries. Definitely need someone in during January. Time for Stones to harden up and Rico Lewis to get game time. I'd perhaps also like to see Grealish play more centrally. Perhaps Bernardo at left back and Guardiol to play as defensive midfielder? Lots of options for us to try but dont bring back Phillips

I am a bit sceptical when the bent media is reporting it, if we have him back in January I would be super happy.
What about that kid? O'Reilly? The one that played on his role in the Community vs the rags.

What worries me the most is that Rodri's back up, Kova, is another semi-injury prone player.

Time to show we are not a 'one man team' ;)

Yep agree. Annoying as we all said it. I thought we just needed someone to give him a rest here or there but this is a whole new problem.

Talk of Lewis, Stones etc is madness, both showed they couldnt do it in the games rodri missed. If we are to use the existing squad the only candidates are gundo or kovacic(or both). But it means they will have to play nearly every game.

A big signing in January would help tbh.

Rodri arriving for assessment by Dr Cugat in Barcelona. He seems to be walking ok. Still I’m not getting my hopes up.

struggling to get his timbies right on his right foot it seems. I have that problem too, needs a shoehorn.

He should be back in action next week after a nice holiday.
