League cup action tonight

Can't imagine we'll put out a strong team to be honest. Spurs likely will as its probably there only realistic chance of a pot.

We are stretched by injuries as it is and it's sad to say but this is a sacrifice game. The youngsters played last night in the EFL Cup. Anyone know if we had a really young side out for that with the idea the usual under 21s would feature tonight?

Can't see anything other than a loss. Depending on the line up of course

Even though Pep does not have the desire to progress it might just be a slightly stronger team than some expect. I do not at all expect a team full of kids, I can see Haaland starting, its not like he runs his nuts off each game. Add to that Nunes, Mc Atee, O Reilly, Foden, Ake, Akanji, Esbrand maybe Gundo.
Cant see Silva, Kova, Josko or Stones starting.

Pep said he’ll put the kids out, let’s see if he keeps his word or was just having a strop

Fully expecting to go out of this cup tonight. Pep often says he'll play the kids, then - doesn’t. But we won't be too strong.

I think Spurs, who just lost at Palace ffs, are even more notorious for 'resting' people, may actually be weaker still. But not optimistic at their place

Actually Pep rowed back a bit on the kids stuff. Said it wouldn’t be fair to play too many against Spurs. His main worry all those injuries in a small squad. Back at 2am on Thursday. Pretty well straight down to Bournemouth and then very little gap before the flight to a very tricky away match at Lisbon then a small gap before trip to Brighton. If we scramble to the next international break without a stumble we’ll do very very well. We badly need Kevin Grealish Doku and Walker back.

The kids played last night, Heskey's 2 sons both scored so he won't play anyone who was involved there.
Ortega, McAtee, O'Reilly, Ake, Nunes all nailed on to start with some regular 1st teamers getting 45 minutes each i reckon.

SPURS were poor against Palace. Tonight they will be more defensive ( like most teams we play) and we will struggle as i suspect Pep will rest a few first choices. I expect a close game, could go either way
