I have been putting off going into their forum, but these comments are not as bad as they have been in the past. I’m really trying to be optimistic, however everything I have seen this so far this season has me worried. My brain has already moved on to start worrying about the game on Wednesday. It is also Matchweek 13, which is not good if you are superstitious. Hope all the brave Blues who are travelling stay safe and I will take any point today.

COME ON CITY!!!

Referee: Chris Kavanagh
Assistants: Lee Betts, Darren Cann
Fourth official: Anthony Taylor
VAR: Paul Tierney
Assistant VAR: Tim Wood

Team Selection

Kelleher
Trent Gomez VVD Robbo
Gravenberch
Jones Mac Allister
Salah Diaz Gakpo

And the rest…

AND Onto the next "biggest game of the season so far". Fixtures really starting to come thick and fast now. Real Madrid was a proper performance, now we need another one.

Can't wait for this game, can't wait...

I don’t think we can underestimate them…They have had bad results but have still played well in parts.

I hate some of the discourse going into this from social media due to City's current form. "Liverpool should batter them", "Liverpool are heavy favourites", "City won't cope without Rodri", "Liverpool are miles ahead of City right now". Just never works out that way, does it. I'll happily take a scruffy 1-0 win with a 90th minute winner off of Darwin's bollocks.

I for one will be getting to the ground nice and early to welcome (both) coaches.

They're still creating plenty despite their awful run, so could need 3+ to win,. Get our best athletes on the pitch and just kill them on transitions. Don't need to overthink it.

By the time the game kicks off, City could be in 5th place, just to add to the pressure a little bit more. They've not been outside the top 4 at this point in the season since 20/21, when a poor start and a game in hand kept them out of the Top 4 until Jan (GW 18).
(They did go on to win the league that year though)

City need bad officiating to win this. Thats our biggest challenge on Sunday. Kavanagh hasn't refed us at all this season and in the league in all the games he's taken charge of, the home team has never won.

Our defensive injuries make this a more even contest than it wouldve been - City are a shambles off the ball, but the attack is still extremely good.

City feel like an ageing heavyweight who can’t stem the passing of time. Not sure how they stop us running through them. At the same time, like the old heavyweight, they’re capable of landing a couple of haymakers on us first if we’re not careful. Think if we started measured and crank it up we’ll be hard to stop. Those injuries have put a slight downer on things but if it’s Gomez and Trent to come n that’s hardly shabby is it. Albeit not an easy game to ease yourself back into.

Must win for City but not a must win for us. Those games are usually tricky to approach mentally.

Shame about Ibou, he’s been a colossus. The cheats will try to shithouse their way to a draw. If we get an early goal , they will fall apart.

Liverpool v Man City and PGMOL.

Looking forward to the game with optimism. Not because of City awful form but more so due to us being resourceful and able to come up with solutions whenever required. Slot and his coaches have been brilliant and I expect them to continue to be brilliant.

This is likely to be Abu Dhabi’s only cup final this season , so they will put everything into it. We will have to be on top of our game but still see us winning comfortably.

City are the underdogs!
