Kevin stay or go?

Seems like at the end of the season his contract will end, but it seems he wants to stay with a reduced role.
Would you keep him?

I would 100%, a no brainer. Similar to Modric at Madrid.

Absolutely not. He can’t stay fit and went months with an “injury” that Pep said no one knew what it was.

Thanks for everything, but you if you can’t stay fit what’s the point?

Where are you hearing he wants to stay from? Has done the squate root of fuck all in the main this season, goal against the mighty Orient aside. Cannot afford to carry passengers and as yesterday showed, KDB does not have it in rhe tank or legs. Up there with the best in his pomp was at chelsea when he banged that screamer in and the free kick at Leicester but cannot run a game and pull us through on his own anymore. No from me unless he's also looking at coaching

Best midfielder I've seen in the Premier league. But time marches on and sentiment can ruin a team even club.
It's time for him to move on.

Should have gone last summer

He has been arguably the best player of the last decade in the PL but he is now finished at the top level.

He will leave a City legend and with many many superb performances and memories. But as a player, leave he must

Yes lots of leaks today. I mean ill bet he does. Is he dropping wages significantly? Id say no as i think we can do better for a 30 min cameo. His passing has gone along with legs unfortunately.

It pains me to say I beleive his playing days for us are over.

His choice what he does next, play in a lesser league or the alternative is to stay in Manchester where he has made no secrets his family are firmly settled here in schools etc.

KDB holds UEFAs second highest coaching badge since 2022, he may well have improved on that since.

So perhaps he's negotiating along those lines.

He wasn't a jack the like Bernardo, I think he's been more reserved in the changing room, but approachable at the same time.

Here you are mate: https://cityxtra.co.uk/25029/kevin-de-b ... c-maTTMrOA

I would keep him as a squad player, not as a starter.
Reduce game time and maybe throw him near the end.

we need to move on, sentimentality is what's got us into this current situation....
in kev, like salah's case, a lot of will come down to money.... and he won't take a cut to stay with us. in fact, i'm sure his agent would want more than he's on now for him to sign a new deal
if i was him, i'd take the rumoured offer of a great deal with the new mls team in san diego - great place to live and a standard of football where could still excel
thank him for everything and some superb memories but i'm afraid his time is up with us

Been the best player in the country for years but time waits for no man.
Announce he's leaving before the summer and give him a fantastic send off in the last home game whether it's 60 minutes or 10.

Time to move on. Should have really been done last summer, along with others.
Sentimental offers never work out.
Thanks for years of magic kev

When he does leave would you put him up there with your likes of Yaya, Sergio, Dave Silva, Kolarov, Kompany?

Modric is 39 and in a month or 2 will be 40 but when he comes on he can and does run and can still shoot and score like yesterday
Kev is fucked carnt run and he is 33 he can still do the passes sometimes and like yesterday he wasn't even taking freekicks, he's had a very good 10 years but like all of us OLD UNS when legs have gone that is it
Let him go to Saudi and earn some big money and he won't have to play every 3 days

We don't need another Gundo situation. Move him on and go all out for Wirtz as his replacement.

One of the best creative players in the world in his peak days

We need Wirtz and two more, to be honest. We did not replace Gungo when he left, while Bernie and Grealish are out the door, along side this version of Gundo.
So we are left with Foden, Mcatee, Nunes and Echeverri.
One is shit, two are fringe and one is a primadonna. So we need two more world class players.

He’s up there with David Silva. An all time legend. He needs to be replaced. I suppose it’s possible he stays as an impact player on a reduced wage but more likely he goes to the USA.
