Son's fa cup tickets cancelled by club

The club plummets to new depths

We haven't been up for a while. I can't drive too good in the dark and the trip is too much in many ways.

My eldest, who as a young lad used to travel with me to Maine Road every week as ST holders, has also been a City fan since birth.

His partner wanted to go with him to a match and, with no current membership, the FA cup was easiest to revive his membership and buy tickets. Got hotel etc and this was a couple of weeks ago. It's coincidence that it's Plymouth

Today (not before, note) he had an email from the club saying they were cancelling his tickets as he has a PL postcode

He rang up but obviously wasn't able to speak to anyone with any sense. His, and my, membership history is there for them to see as a lifelong fan. But no, rules are rules apparently

So it seems the club is senseless from top to bottom. There are quite a few City fans in Cornwall these days, without membership mostly, or even our proven history, who may well also get dumped.

I certainly won't be buying any more tickets, ever

I can buy them on my membership and transfer him the tickets so it’s not a waste of hotel if he needs?

Thanks Mase but I think he was able to cancel that. Sad, though

Surely common sense has been applied here? I understand the club cancelling tickets from the Plymouth area for memberships purchases/registered after the game was announced but surely a courteous review of ur sons account would have seen he has history and is fine?

Actually, its Plymouth, its an fa cup match we likely wont sell out easily who even cares if there fans are in the home end its not like actual city fans are missing out here. As long as they are respectful no colours and no celebrating goals(should they score) there should be no issue.

What makes me laugh is the home end was rampant with dippers on sunday but they decide to make a stance against Plymouth? Fuck sake club ticketing is a mess top to bottom

Thanks guys. I have sent my views to the club as a complaint as I am probably better at formulating such things.

No, there is no common sense yet. They also need to realise that our PL postcode is 40 miles from Plymouth. 6 miles or so from the Etihad is OL1
