Think back to when we had Sane and Sterling. A world of difference
Kippax Sean wrote:I'm more concerned that the wingers are not providing as many assists as they should. We are out of kilter, if Haaland was confident in decent quick balls coming into the box he attack the penalty area and be back scoring 50 goals a season. He's being used at 40% of his effectiveness. Midfield following in behind and picking up clearances at the edge of the box and bang. Old fashioned football maybe but it'd be more enjoyable and effective than what we are watching at the minute.

I agree with you , both young wingers need to understand that their main job is to suppy crosses into the box and let it all happen. Recently they have been wanting to dribble the ball into the net.

I did type that out about Sanè and Sterling (and then deleted it) - on another level to Doku and Savio.
Mahrez as well - didn’t appreciate him when he was here but he’s head and shoulders about any of our wingers now.
A lot of stick for Haaland yesterday - but what’s the guy supposed to do when he’s provided nothing.

Basically 99% of his play ! He doesn't score goals.
If Grealish scored goals like he can neck pints, he'd be top drawer

So same as Savio then this season, who has scored one more league goal than Jack in miles more games. Jack wasn’t all scoring during the treble season, yet he was integral to us winning all three trophies

Grealish came to us as a £100m pound transfer, experienced in English Premier League. 12 goals scored in 4 seasons all Comps. For whatever reason he has more than halved his scoring rate since he joined us. Sav is just a kid at the moment finding his feet. Grealish helped us during our treble season but you can say that of the whole squad - Alvarez did far more than grealish ever will. I'm assuming Pep is an influence common to both players so I'm not inuding that. At the moment Sav has a bit of a honeymoon Llowance Grealish does not. Also Grealish joined a team at its peak, Savinho, Doku, Mamoush have not

A team at its peak that couldn’t win the CL… so we weren’t at our peak then. I get what you’re saying, but treble season City was our peak. Jack joined two seasons before
