What qualifies teams for this competition?

Looks like a proper gravy train.

Us and Chelsea got in for winning chumps league, I assume the same for the other European teams....

Fuck knows how a team from Morroco or Abu Dhabi made the cut.

Miami got in on because of Messi by all accounts/yanks hosting.

Even Cheesy (apparently never missed a City game since '70s) isn't going to the stage games. Only going to the final in NYC as one of his sponsors is being paying for him.

Personally, I am only watching our games because I'm in Marbella on my hols until 28th June.

My cousin lives in Miami and I think he's going to the Juventus match in Orlando, not sure about the other 2 damp squibs in Atlanta and Philedephia.

In short you are correct, just another FIFA cash cow, with no consideration for player well being.

I honestly cannot see us bouncing back after this shit season if our players only get a fraction of the down time dippers, gooners etc players get.

It's a big IF, but IF we've been able to get our transfer business done beforehand, we do get the advantage of everyone being together and being able to get game time for the newbies. I get the downside of less break but I'd imagine this is already week 2 of the players jollies. Can see at least some good coming from this tin pot tournament

One won't be Stones as he will be angling for a new contract but your point is valid. Guess it comes down to how serious we want to take it. As I said above, we could use it as pre season for the newbies assuming we have any

I can't see how Stones will be angling for a new City contract, unless he really is thick. He is lucky he got the long extention to his original contract. Done sod all the last two years.
