Anyone else bloody excited?

I’m not sure if it’s the new signings, the lack of pressure to defend the title or just the unpredictability of it all, but god I cannot wait for this season to start.

Anyone else proper buzzing for this one or just me?

Slowly losing the love for football to be fair. Not arsed about this.

Got a season ticket for the women's for me and my daughter. More excited about that to be honest.

Pretty much sums me up as well Mase

I no longer watch any games other than ourselves as I'm just not into it anymore. And my concern is I'll not even bother with our games in a few years

So I'm sadly in the camp of not excited. Yet

Looking forward to it and cautiously optimistic. I have seen some predict a fourth place for us, given the new faces in both players and coaches brought in since January that would be very disappointing indeed.
Not saying were definitely going to win the league but I do think we will be an awful lot closer than last season, and I wont be ruling us out. Its not unreasonable to expect a far better Champions league campaign than last seasons debacle.
We have a tough start not sure how ready we are, but a good start is a must for me.
Just beat Wolves first. Then take it from there.

I'm looking forward to it.
I can see one of our mega battles with the dippers for the league and hopefully the end result will be as per the previous couple.

I am curious about us more than anything, to be honest. I don't expect much, settled this early, so I will not get upset when we break the side passing record and we concede one on the counter.

I expect the league to remain as corrupt as ever, with the Scouse likely to gain another slight advantage due to the events that occurred with them this summer.

I think, slowly, we are all giving up on modern football.

every year i get less and less excited
way too much shite surrounding the game these days
also, i don't watch any near as many games as i used to - like you notts, city only really with the occasional game involving one our rivals on in the background but won't settle down to watch them like i used to. kind of ironic that there are going to be more games then ever on this year because most people i know are watching less and less
interestingly and kind of linked to the above, my kids have pretty much zero interest in watching games on tv - same goes for their mates... they don't consume media in the same way we do which i think is a ticking time bomb for most sports that rely on tv viewing figures for their revenues

Fucking hell im depressed just reading you lot.‘it’s city and it’s a new season. Try and liven up a bit.

I’ll be up at 2am Sunday here to watch this one like I do every game. Let yourselves enjoy some football, you won’t regret it.

I'm looking forward to this season more than the last couple. I think this is down to the signings we've made in midfield and attack and seeing how they all gel and get on together. Also the Pep factor. I hope it is not misplaced faith but I really believe we will see something different this season. This belief stems from what I have read about the backroom appointments together with what certain players have been quoted as saying. We might not be awesome this season but much more competitive and as importantly entertaining to watch. Next season, back to our best.

Not really as excited as normal.

Our transfers havent been great, we have 4 keepers and appear to be concentrating on another, no right back, an injured holding midfielder with poor cover and about 10 players that need shifting.

Cherki and ait nouri the only things exciting me so i expect they will be on the bench on Saturday.

What about Reijnders and Khusanov…two brilliant players ? Bobb and Rodri back, Foden back on song a new world class goalie and of course the best centre forward the world has ever seen. The only thing that can stop us is Pep. If he sticks to Plan A he will be gone by Xmas. If there’s a Pan B and C, that’s what I want to see.

About as excited as when I was in the STD clinic waiting to get an umbrella rammed down my japs eye.

Same as above for me, no RB, even if we had got a RB not sure he would be picked, i need to see a game with players playing in their best position, faster more direct football & not constantly hearing crass excuses from Pep.

Last season was the first season since I was 16 that i cancelled my sky sports subscription (or the Ozzie equivalent when I was over there) - saw the games I could be arsed with at the local and really enjoyed watching a game albeit I didn’t make it to every televised match

It’s a weird fact but I used to enjoy it more when we were shit, stay up, decent showing in a cup, beat united, maybe have a cheeky go at getting into Europe, maybe get big David up front - great fucking days!

It’s all but turgid and “systemy” now and I’m not talking about just city but I do think it’s pep’s fault a bit

Really excited, can't wait. Think it'll be a strong year as everyone apart from Newcastle have strengthened. I also think we're going to bitch slap everyone after last year's debacle
