Most underrated player ever

• Total appearances: Approximately 450 across all competitions
• Total goals: 76
• Total assists: Around 59–66 (sources vary slightly on exact all-competitions figure)
• Premier League appearances: 296
• Premier League goals: 45
• Premier League assists: 50
• UEFA Champions League appearances: 86 (with 15 goals and 11–12 assists)
Consistently high workload: Often 50+ appearances per season in his peak years (e.g., 51 apps with 13 goals + 14 assists in 2018–19; 50 apps with 13 goals in 2021–22)
• Named Manchester City Player of the Season multiple times, including standout 2018–19 campaign

We will miss this player more than we can imagine and there is noone who can ever replace what he brought to the table.

A City great. 31. Playing like he’s 21. I’ve always thought he understood the club more than most. Bernado. Thanks I hope you feel how much you are loved. A sad day to see this confirmed. All the best. One request before you leave, please take Phil for lunch and have a word with this lad. X

A true legend. We will understand how good he was when we don't have him. I have nothing but respect for the way he has carried humself and this club since he came in. Best of luck bubblegum.

Nothing but respect and gratitude for what Bernie has done for us. In this day and age of part time footballers/ part time wannabe celebrities Bernie is a full time professional footballer and all round top man. Personality and character is a gift and Bernie is gifted.

I wonder what his injury stats are. I can see over the 9 years it's about 450 v 250 in Silva's favour.

My absolute favourite player in Pep's regime.
An absolute bargain and one of the best players I've seen in his prime. 2018-19 and 2022-23, he was possessed.

Plus, the guard of honour moment will live rent-free in my mind.
We will adapt without him, but we will never replace him because players like him cannot be replaced.

All the other teams will be over the moon at this announcement, he has been a thorn in their sides for such a long time. He is disliked by a lot of opposition fans as he does the ugly stuff as well as the quality stuff. Also doesn't give a toss about anything but winning, amazing character and will be a massive miss.

He is one of my all time favourites, ever since he destroyed us playing for Monaco, what a great signing he was. I hope he is the next one to get a statue

Definitely a statue worthy player. Can just echo what a lot of other people already said: favourite City player over the Pep era, only rivalled by the other Silva.
