Not many fans whose team won the league would ever give a fuck how they won it. Not in the immediate aftermath nor on reflection

Arsenal made Premier League history in the 2025/26 season by becoming the first team to complete an entire campaign without having a single player sent off or conceding a penalty.

Considering how they play the game I would consider this as "In plain sight", the PL doctoring decisions to achieve their different seasons different winners stratergy.

Even their ex Players are critical of how they have won the League given their expenditure.

Playing anti-football and using dirty tricks and PGMOL to their advantage,

Not being bitter either.

In my opinion they are the worst Champions ever. Playing the worst football.

I think next week PSG will paste them. when Football v Anti-Football clash in the Final.

Absolutely spot on, however Ladyman & Holt are still blowing smoke up their arses stating they will kick on & add to this title because we are in turmoil, dippers are in transition & another year before rags are organised. Funny or what.

If it turns out Guardiola isn't leaving, then it will be interesting to see if City respond. Personally I don't give a fuck, the league wasn't lost on monday night and I'm sure the players are professional enough to not let it turn their heads, but if Southampton can be thrown out of a playoff and have points deducted - where would a media briefing of this magnitude sit on the scale of dirty tricks?

Every comment from other fans mentions the cheating. Everyone hates them.

Nice one! There's a Tarquin works in HR at my office (fucking says it all doesn't it?) comes out saying that their defence was massive this season... (This to me, 2 spuds boys and a rag) .... I couldn't help myself.. I said "Your refs and linesmen were even better tho"

This is the first time ever the final isnt free to air in the UK though, so don't think it's just because it's Arsenal that he wants that.

Hopefully he has the same mindset around the 'crown jewel' sporting events that currently have to remain free to air (fa cup final, league cup final, world cup and euros). Seemed this season more FA cup matches than ever were behind the paywall.

Other sports have had the status scaled back in recent years (Ashes cricket is one I think).

Sports need to think long term. The viewing figures for pay per view sports are a fraction of the free to air, if they're not careful their audiences will go elsewhere

I would never have a problem with pay per view. If they didn't advertise , but this is in effect a double pisstake.

In the uk the bbc cannot use advertising revenue and in effect can not compete at the levels required.

So for me, companies like sky and tnt , apple etc should be forced to have terrestrial broadcasting , or have their broadcasting rights revoked. It is a big con job for the uk public. Sky is all subscription based and advertising, a big con job.

Why shouldn't these revenues go to the uk and not partly to Warner brothers ? Ditto sky
