First Derby of the season. And we definitely owe these fuckers one after the shitshow that was Carrick’s first game last season.
Hopefully Maresca will understand a bit more than Pep did about the importance of this fixture in the fans eyes. I’m still fuming about the 3-2 loss at home when we should have sealed the Title after being 2-0 up. And as for the Cup Final defeat a couple of years ago, I’ll never get over that
Should have O’Reilly back in the mix. Fairly full squad to pick from. Whoever is on right wing needs to target that pie muncher Shaw from the get go.
Got a good feeling about this one
3-1 Haaland (2) Fernandez

I can see Cherki starting on the bench and Nico starting instead of Bouaddi. I like that Maresca shows signs of being able to mix things up during a game this will be key today. If Semenyo is back on it today, can see him terrorising Shaw.
Off to the swamp so be out shortly on the pop. Come the fuck on blue boys.

We never seem to do as well as we should against the spawny cunts. More things not to forgive - the Alan Wilkie phantom penalty in that fa cup game all those years ago, and the ridiculous Gashford thing where he was controlling the ball for half the pitch but was apparently not offside. That's one of the most ridiculous goals against us ever. Then there's the Shrek shinner that Sly still show at every opportunity
Time to bury them

Plenty of goals today and a few dodgy decisions almost guaranteed. Another 6 -1 Haaland hatrick Fernández, Foden and Cherki.

Foden? Now that's real optimism

Horrible record at the swamp, considering the difference between the quality of the teams won 2 drawn 2 lost three since 2019, proves Pep never got the local passion. Sure some bad decisions but equally bad displays, also shows the inflexibility of Pep’s tactics against a team set up the counter attack, in all those games we had far more possession but still only won two.
Let’s hope Enzo improves because they will counter from defensive positions.

Yes, it's really not rocket science. He seems to abandon one or two of Pep's crazy habits, but I do worry that he still has us crazy high against dangerous counter attack teams

I expect from Maresca to understand what this means to us and prepare as it should.
My only request. The rest will follow.

Site seems very clunky today. Maybe something to do with those 3000+ guests at the bottom (ie bots).
Zuri - best work some magic, if you're out there?

I thought it was because I was on a train into London, signal is dire given it is the busiest commuter route in the country.
3k guests certainly adding to my woes.
From what Maresca has said, he seems to definitely understand better than Pep ever did about the significance of this Derby.
I am hoping that he instills this into the players.
Here's to hoping we are singing the Blues later.

Pretty confident ahead of this, not only for the gulf of difference in quality, but also because Maresca seems more flexible and quick reacting ( if needed) than Pep was.
I personally would drop Cherky and start all the 3 superstars purchased, with Enzo as number 10.
But what do I know, after all?
Let's spank the facklers!

Seems ok now. Often seems to happen on the morning of a big match

Ha ! just got back from Manc, and it seems stable, but i'll rummage around in admin mode and see if there is anything. Typically it is the ISP servers and not the site ,per se.
edit:
I've just de-activated a few bots. Half the crap bots aren't needed. let's see how it goes.
Though as above, seems like more a Server andmin thingy , probably doing backups on the server rather than anything else. I'll check by logging into the actual server as well and not the website.

mmh , i think there is some admin going on in the background. I can't even get onto the Server (not the web site admin stuff) to rummage around. so let's hope all stays stable for a while.

Couple of surprises maybe. I thought he might slip Khusanov in, for his pace on their counter, but not at the expense of Nunes. Cherki I think we maybe thought he was a born super-sub but I guess he'll give them something to worry about. Foden, we're keeping in until he scores, or hell freezes over, whichever is earliest
