Training Saturday 28/4

Bit late sorry but I had to dash to cricket straight from Carrington. But not a great deal to say as they trained a good distance away and with the sun out it actually made seeing more difficult through the netting! But on arrival the whole place was buzzing with the press conference just finshing and reporters all over the place. 3 interviews were being done outside the actual conference room which I think were BBC, Sky and a Swedish station!
The car park was fairly jammed as was the lay by just outside and the usualy array of free lance photographers were walking around to their usual spots. As ever the keepers were out early and the next group to come out were the "watchers" who took their place in the dug out near the training pitch. The dug out wasnt big enough to house the crowd today though as it was well into double figures!
20 players I counted plus keepers so a full squad again which broke into 2 groups for the start up jogs and exercises. As ever I wondered about the 2 groups and whether it told me something but I think they were too mixed to be the team for the game. Then into a strong passing game as they started to build up steam into the session. Then Mancini took a team ( maybe....!) away for some specific tactical plays and got an EDS team across to help.
Initially though the EDS boys weren't involved as they went through quite a bit of regular including postional work and passing before it was time to work on some corners, both attacking and defensive, and that's where the EDS got involved.Free kicks were also worked on defensively. Then after a while the other "team" were brought across for the same work. The players not involved each time were basically having shooting practice.
It was looking like there wouldnt be a game today to end the session but I had to leave anyway to fulfil my cricket duties. All looked good to me within the team, players looking sharp from the bits I saw and roll on Monday.
