Training Friday 9/11

Training Friday 9/11

Postby Douglas Higginbottom » Fri Nov 09, 2012 1:04 pm

Training started well today simply because Silva was there for the full session. Maicon and Lescott as well but it was David that brought the biggest smile.Rodders was working hard one to one and Milner came out later for some running.Earlon there were more people watching in the dug out than players but in the end there were 20 on view, including Scapuzzi and Razak.

Mario was in playful mood nicking Lescott woolly hat which got the predictable reaction as Joleon wanted it back.He caught up with him quickly and the wrestling match which followed looked really good. JL won that one.Plenty of early fitness routines followed before Mancini too a team away for a session working on team shape, back 4 and back 3 all covered at different times and with regular changes of the team personnel. Also very noticeable that Mancini stopped the flow constantly to reinforce the positions he wanted people in relative to where the ball was.Basic but very important stuff.

Those not involved had fun in keep ball circle play for a while before the whole group got into a pass ,move and press game.In the background 200 yards away I could hear Massimo ,the keeper coach giving them hell.Nothing new there then!

And finally into the game and not much to report at all.Partly as defences were very much on top and there were no goals but also because they were on a far pitch and with one team on the deepish purple training gear I couldn't see much detail through the curtain! Golden goal was announced and scored from nothing from a looping header but I couldn't tell who by :) Maybe Inside City will show it soon as they were filming away.

Cheers Doug.

So long as Bob keeps at the basic stuff, I'm sure it will pay off before long & we'll start to look solid again (apart from in Europe).

Does DS look fully fit then Doug ?

He looks fully fit but of course not match fit and maybe lacking stamina but must have a chance of being involved on Sunday

Cheers Doug, great read. Fancy Lescott starting ahead of Nasti for this one? What about Maicon, is he fully fit? If stamina an issue for DS then I would assume he won't be involved for more than 30 minutes on Sunday.

I didn't realise we had so many injuries.

Thanks Doug.

Man-crush on AK eh mate. Got to admit, his backing of young George and his hard as nails approach have grown on me too.

Cheers Sir DH, as usual for bringing everyone a fresh breath of Carrington, as accurate as usual and featuring the great news about Dave!

Now, taking aside Your usual positives stirring style, just tell us all the truth: how many Lads jumped at Mancini's throat, today? and how many innocent children has Mario gunned?
is there any glimpse of hope to see those buch of mercenaries earning a few of the famous Manure Team Spirit?
is there any remainder of support for this crumbling Club, with no history?

please, tell us the official truth... ;)

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

Have you seen the latest Inside City feature on the official website? Some of Friday's training is on there and although nothing special it does show a relaxed squad and especially Aguero especially relaxed and in dancing mood.

It also shows ( just after 19 minutes) a face that I don't know for someone on here to identify.

Did anyone see Aguero at the O2 on Thursday? Came out to warm up with Del Poitro, but he really isnt very good at tennis, so binned the raquet after a few minutes and ended up returning the tennis ball with his feet

Looked in good spirits having a laugh with his buddy
