Training Saturday 23/11

Postby Douglas Higginbottom » Sat Nov 24, 2012 2:07 pm

A noon start today prior to catching a train later for London but that allowed me to watch the Test match till the close ( England doing well for a change!) I arrived at Carrington at the same time as Roberto on his bike and then slowly but surely the rest of the players came in.One or two a bit late I would have thought!!

Basically the same players on show again today plus Razak after his appearance with the EDS yesterday.Everyone in good spirits even it seemed a little quiet and plenty of warm ups and stretches before Mancini took a team away to work and prepare for the game tomorrow. Then all back together for a 2 touch game without keepers and using 5 a side nets. Mario and Carlos scoring a couple each and then Kolarov getting the winner.

Then after another fitness routine it was onto the game and an early goal for Sergio ( or did Kidd give it offside I wasn't sure) Milner was standing out.First with 2 brilliant crosses and the a goal with a fierce cross shot. Sinclair then popped up with one of those crosses that turns into a shot as it curled in the far post with Tevez the attacker trying hard to get a touch on it to fool the keeper. Then it was near misses for a while:

A top block from JL on Mario
A great save by Costel
Mario, twice, and Carlos just wide Sergio just wide
Top save by Joe

Then goals from Silva and Edin sort of ended the game but not before Kolarov took out Milner. I would have stayed down for a week but not our James who hardly felt it! Carlos almost scored from an Edin cross before SS rounded the keeper and then was flagged offside and that was that. I decided to leave as 3 regulars looked like they would have some free kick/shooting practice at Wright.

Cheers Sir D,
any rumour on Vinnie fitness test? perhaps will be assessed just tommorow. good to hear good form and spirit by Joleon: few togetherness a part, would be quite confident should the pair be Jol + Nasti

btw, next time You bang on the boss, just say I'm that Mancio4ever will set his Genoa house on fire if he doesn't sort that pass out!
Is still any cretin who has yet to understand how reliable Your filter on public feedback is?

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

In Roger Ailes/Donnie Drumpf's words: "don't know it for a fact, but many people say so..."
there must be some truth, then!

Great to hear Milner has been putting in great performances in training. I really hope he and Barry start together on Sunday.

Retired and mad enough to turn up in all weathers. By the time you retire they might have barbed wire and traps to get through.

Dunno if this is a joke or not but I saw that when watching Inside City and instantly wondered if that was Doug.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Benefiting from the wind the day before as it had blown the top fence down so I could see easily. Yesterday it was back up again.
