Training Friday 11/1

Not much sign of action today when I arrived until I saw Rodwell was out working 1 on 1 with Ivan.A good positive sign to start with. The surprise of the day was seeing the sprinklers in action!!16 players in action today plus 5 keepers. No Guidetti or Nasri from yesterday.

There was a very brief briefing today followed by jogs and warm up/stretching exercises before they all came together around the centre circle for a full keep ball circle with 3 in the middle. The ball was fairly fizzing around and they were all in very good spirits. Then the hole (more of a slit:))in the curtain I was peering through disappeared as security moved in to close it.They moved on then to where the paparazzi were taking pictures before wandering back past.

I could still see where I was through the curtain but went around to see how their viewing had been curtailed...but it hadn't at all.So, confused MCFC supporter just watched alongside them! The training then switched to another pitch for Mancini to do some of the usual pre match preparation working on all aspects of defensive work plus some attacking plays. One funny moment (well it was to me) was when free kicks were being practiced from angles and Mancini was a one man wall.Inevitably it hit him but he didn't flinch at all and just waited for the next try. Shame Samir wasn't there.

Likely Sunday players were going in now so I called it a day to watch the end of the cricket even though it looked like a 5 a side game maybe about to start.

Good report Doug.

Cue Daily Miror and Mail headlines tomorrow - "City mutiny in the camp as players deliberately blast ball at Mancini"

Guilty. My view through the camera wasn't too bad was it?

Just noticed on the Inside City video that Mario's super goal ( the overhead) was completely obscured by Mancini who immediately after it shouted some instructions to him.About 13 minutes in.

I notice that Nasri and Kolarov were taking full part in the session Doug, any chance of a return for either of them?

Nasri isn't injured, he's suspended ... so no chance ... Kolarov coming back from injury and competing with Clichy for left back? With Clichy playing OK and our first choice anyway ... no, thank you. Bench for him pls.

Nasri was fully involved till Friday when he was given the day off I assume. Kolarov is in good training and looks fine to me but wasn't always involved in the contact stuff.Seems there was a hit of extra care being taken but I do think he could play if needed.

Bloody hell, that Nasri sending off seems so far away now. As for Kolarov, he gives us an option that can't be disregarded. Wouldn't play him instead of Clichy but in addition if required.

Here... here!
Upon watching the accurate coverage of Sir Doug's commitment to the cause on Inside City #58, including a camera perspective of His overlooking.... I am definitely convinced that THE CLUB is taking the piss on Us (as if they were featuring a kind of joint 68/Doomie theatrical screenplay).

We must involve the best of the Mancityfans.net Brain Trust and sort our some counter measures. I wouldn't even rule out BiB and his fake AK47.
Why not starting through an e-mail bombing from Season Ticket holders? Chinners and LAHAD would be my bid to lead the Braintrust.

As soon as the Bingo Memorial will be put in place, next project should be:

GET DOUG THE PASS!

I am mad, as You know, but I am serious here.... :-)

I notice that there are pictures in the papers today of free kick work being done. Taken around the time they were working hard to stop me seeing anything but leaving the paparazzi free viewing!

Wow. So thats what you look at every training that you go to? I dunno how you see who does
what through those screens.

Props.

and the DSSC headline was Mancini lines up City wall... and then fires balls straight at it to stop it crumbling like in derby ... the just can't stop hating us/licking their arse

You need to take a camera along DH, one of those Brownie things without any film in it, then they'll think you are the 'press' and leave you be.
